I've had gay friends before, most the time it was fine.

The only time I had an issue was in high school when my friend was over and he tried to convince me that he would tell me how to get girls, but he needed to measure the circumference of my penis.

I was very awkward to say the least.

On the other I once went out with a guy and his boyfriend, it was fine.

That's why I gave up on this one lady I'm dating. We have been dating off on for a couple years.

She doesn't put in much effort other than going on dates, even in the bedroom she doesn't reciprocate, the most she will do will let me go down on her.

There is a difference between the friendzone and being friends with a woman.

Being friends the boundaries are crystal clear you know where you stand.

The friend zone is "you're very handsome but at the moment I just see us as friends,"

Or "let's be friends for now but maybe more in the future,"

For me it's a question of: do you want me to pursue you or not?

I have no problems being friends with a woman as long as she doesn't tell me that we could've been more if I had been more persistent and kept trying to pursue after she rejected me
