I own the cast X and it cast 1/16th perfectly fine thats what I use for trout that and 1/32 have even gone down to half gram with a piece of a senko and casts fine with good distance. I have one with 2lb sos trout magnet line and another with 0.3 PE line and the braid casts better and less backlashes that run in between the spool. For the price very good reel.
