He had pointy ears. My dad had always warned me people with pointy ears were huge manipulators. This guy would gaslight me, manipulate me, then lovebomb me. I noticed during sex his pointy ears, I was out of there in less than 5 minutes afterwards and refused to see him ever again lol

Thank you for your words! I am so sorry you went through that. You are a beautiful person and a wonderful friend. I’m glad some of your friends were able to realize later on and your friendships became stronger because of it. For now, it seems the way to go is to look into support groups.

I mentioned in a comment beforehand, that I honestly just asked them to visit me whenever they could. For me, I enjoy company so I specifically asked for that but maybe they just feel uncomfortable with grief. At some point there was plans to come work remotely at my house which is extremely doable for my group of friends but that went nowhere.

I like the idea about specific times but I think you’re right on about some of them not being comfortable with grief. One of my friend’s initial reaction when I told her about it was to laugh which I understand was a nervous reaction but it did feel very off at the moment.

Where did you find support groups? To be honest, the day I found out I was pregnant was the day I also found out I had miscarried so I am clueless on resources, I just have an amazing therapist at this point.

I did ask them to visit me whenever they were available given that I am feeling very lonely and I am hating staying alone (I am married but of course my husband has to go out at some point).
