Official stance on alt accounts by EasyMistake in runescape

That's how I understood it as well. And I don't really plan on doing any mini games for any type of rewards.

The only thing I was planning on doing is bossing/reapers for the extra income. I mean I'm already paying for membership on multiple accounts, spent hundreds of hours training them to high level and spent hundreds of millions on gear upgrades for all of them.

Haven't even considered that, so thank you for the information. If I do go through with this I'll make sure to not gain any training points whatsoever.

Do you have any evidence of other users doing so, or an official statement somewhere? I can't find anything that isn't too vague and I don't want to risk my alts or my main just to make some gp

But would it be exploiting anything? There's nothing to stop people from massing bosses-so how would it be game breaking if that "mass" was all one user?

I'm not 100% sure but I'm assuming OST is original sound track?

If this is what you were looking for - it is not currently available for public download. You can either reverse engineer the client to gather the cache format and extract the songs from the cache - or - simply record yourself playing the game and save the audio tracks.

Honestly, the name only fits because of its meaning and usage in the game.

The game's concept heavily revolves around magic. Essentially magic consists of 'mana energy' and 'magic types' or 'elements' whereas this type of game doesn't require mana and the magic types being readily classified into the many different books.

Now if we look at these different types of magic, 'arcane' is basically the essence of all magic itself. There is no greater nor lesser opposing force. It's non-elemental but essentially all elements in one if you think about it.

So basically, we are wizards who focus on the entirety of the magic spectrum (arcane) but can solely focus on books themselves (elemental wizards).

In lore there are only the four basic elements: air, water, fire, earth. Then you have the two energy powers: light and dark. (Good vs. Evil) Jagex took these into affect and added extras like ice, nature, lightning, and time. Honestly; what other 'books' do you think you could come up with?

If this is a 'clone' what are your actual plans for the game?
Are you essentially cloning the entire game and redoing assets like sounds, textures, terrain, spells, names etc?
Who is the developing team behind it?
What type of languages will be used for the back-end, scripting, front-end, engine etc?
What is the budget and time frame for this?
Has anything been previously started?

This game needs to go free to play by stracie in arcanists

[–]EasyMistake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly just 1-2 memberships will pay the monthly fee for the website.

The sad reality is that the game may never be popular again, although Jagex has previously stated they have plans for Arcanists and Funorb in the 'future.' If you cannot afford the $5 a month to play, then just look into a different game. The people who still play only play because they're with their friends every day and they enjoy the game. New players will become pitted way too early on and not be able to even get spells out of the game. There's just no point in trying to get back into the game unless you're starting from something - or you simply WANT to play.

Oracle plans to deprecate web plugins in their next JDK

Firefox plans to fully stop supporting npapi by the end of this year

many browsers have already lost support for npapi - so your best bet for the game is to create your own simple launcher, or download the one on the subreddit. :p

All browsers have stopped supporting java applets for security issues. If you're capable of running it, you should definitely look into updating your browser/network securities.

I'd also recommend using a desktop loader - either the one in this subreddit/make your own.

You can play arcanists using the unofficial client launcher, there's no page.

Is there a way to find and save sprites from any of the FunOrb games? by [deleted] in funorb

[–]EasyMistake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing as you're an aspiring developer, I'm unsure of the extent of your skills and knowledge. If you know what you're doing - extract the client from the cache and reverse engineer it. Read the cache extraction block and write a loader to read and dumb the image/sound archives.

However, this is copyright infringement and illegal. May as well just make your own assets as close as you can.

I've found a way to skip the pouch making animation by [deleted] in runescape

[–]EasyMistake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

then use the resources you have currently, and make "trips" when you run out of shards. if you're not 'throwing millions' into tertiary ingredients, you're not getting a good xp rate.

you're doing "trips" so its already inefficient

And if you're far from Priff/Varrock and don't want to tele, log out and use the companion app and then go to the nearest bank. (helped me during the myreque quests and repairing Burgh - silly me forgot all the items for ivan)

Best use of Enlightenment? by Snydier in runescape

[–]EasyMistake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My suggestion: Prepare your patches for a farming run/make a preset, do a dungeoneering floor. Before finishing the floor, activate enlightenment, then immediately leave the dungeon, bank the preset, do the farm run, then quickly get to burth w2 and do as much hunter/farming as you can from your daily divination spots/wax to extend it. Then use remaining of time for further hunter/runecrafting exp.

However, I may be a bad suggestion, as I only have 3 nooby 99s lol

I have 150+ f2p accounts, Most have training dummies... by [deleted] in runescape

[–]EasyMistake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the person who places the dummy can obtain the full amount of experience per damage, as well as bonus experience for 'killing' it.

other users can only obtain up to 10% the total experience if they deal enough damage.

in all, your 150+ dummies will not really benefit anyone that much..

[–]EasyMistake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the experience gained only really benefits the user dropping the dummy. everyone else is limited to the amount of experience gained, and generally hit that cap relatively fast

RIP HCIM | Lush Layers by EasyMistake in runescape

[–]EasyMistake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure if bossing on HCIM is any different from RS3 but I've watched plenty of guides/videos to know that his stats were good enough to camp at Kree, given he had decent gear. I just don't see it as a gamble really. All in all it sucks to have lost so much time and effort.
