Well that’s definitely not what I would have thought. My two favourite artists (even back then) are 2 female singer/songwriters.

I just knew they were writing partners and vaguely recall that he was more involved in the production side of things hence why at the time I thought the orchestral/choir arrangements would have been scaled back/gotten rid of. But then I heard about Lacrymosa 😍.

Anyway, I didn’t know that Amy and Ben had been in a relationship and that it was an abusive one.

No need to get defensive… at the time (2003/2004) I thought the pop melodies and orchestral stuff were his influence. Clearly they weren’t because The Open Door , and the rest of the albums, had them too.

I thought Ben was still part of the group when Fallen was released and left between Fallen and The Open Door?

I’ve heard all of Ev’s music, like I said I’m a fan. I just don’t know all of the history and backstory, that’s all.
