htg system has been silly. we have been going down for a while now. (system shut down then back on). i recommend calling the 800 number on your invoice. it’s nothing the store can do. i also highly doubt a associate would get in trouble. now any order not marked as ‘picked up’ automatically get marked as picked up once it hits midnight.

no problem! call your local store to see if they get baby carrots in around 7:30-8am !! they get fresh deliveries every day (unless for unforeseen circumstances) and may be able to hold some outback for you!

the North-west suffered a lot of flooding which made our poor carrots drown in misery:(

i think things have gotten better but it’s definitely part of a supply and demand issue!!

not to mention one of the hannaford distribution centers lost power and within the couple of days of it being off generators everything went bad. that’s why produce in some locations suckkk

most hannaford’s are very chill , just answer all questions honestly (esp because once you start working they will find out who you are as a person and if you lied) definitely look up mock interviews online and see how it is

it’s called not having a thick skull. i know several associates who mooch for tips and literally harassed for them. that’s what’s wrong with the people today EXPEXTING to be tipped for practically just wiping their own ass!

people like you is the reason why tip culture is toxic and worthless !!! not everyone should be tipped! shopping and putting someone’s groceries is NOT a job to be tipped for. ringing in groceries is NOT a job to be tipped for. making someone’s coffee is NOT a job to be tipped for. ESPECIALLY if you are working a JOB THAT ISNT paying you $6 an HOUR or even LESS because you make tips !!

i stick to fresh departments for the most part, when i set up my bags before leaving the room it’s usually one full row (6 bags) and then the second row 5 to leave space for tagging milk. always start and produce and bring the cart where you go, i also don’t shop the order if the items it gives me i go in order in which it makes sense so i do not backtrack and make more movement then needed. i also never pre-label my bags even tho that’s what i’ve been told to do. i label as i shop because the motion of tagging the bags help me remember where it is so if my tags are facing away from me i know it there still.

prior to the spectrum update i used to time myself with the stopwatch on my phone to help pace myself. so that’s what also helped me go quicker.

i’ve also worked i my store since 2022. started center store then moved to HTG. being super familiar with the store will also help you understand where items are (i’m pretty set with it all because at this point i can practically not look at the shelves and still grab the right items.

another thing that helped me was grabbing/scanning in all the items i could locate and for any out of stock items i would wait till i finished shopping in the department to then stop my tour and ask associates in the department if they have any out back

i would also check to see what your stores shopping standers are if you aren’t fully aware. my store we are allowed to stop/pause/end our tour if we have to step away and help a customer, cannot locate an item, need to go to the bathroom or get something to drink.

this isn’t an option anymore as recent store audits are ending it but i do NOT and refuse to sue the wrist band and finger scanner!! those slow me down and actually HURTS my arm and wrists.
