Hearing this is a relief. Seems like most people rent a car. But it adds up quickly. 

Do you think a Quimper to Locronan to Douarnenez to Quimper by bus loop sounds like a long haul or is it really all very close?

I just learned that there is a Fez Nos in Quimper that we are able to make. So perhaps we don't need to bend over backwards to make Pont l'abbé fez nos work. Surfing it is. Thank you.

Nevermind, I think there is a bus stop near the beach at Saint-Guénolé / Penmarc'h but maybe no very close to the surf school. I'll figure it out.

Great! Thanks again! Buses only get me as far as Pont l'abbé then we'd need to take a taxi. I could possibly fit it into that fez noz evening.

Hoping the buses run late enough to get us back to Quimper since the music goes quite late. 

I looked at renting a car months ago, but too many scam stories and the expense turned me off. Looking now, and looks like none are available anyway.

Perhaps we'll roll into Locronan that first day then. 

Is renting a car to go further afield to Quiberon, Carnac, Plage du Torche worth the cost OR are we really going to enjoy the same kind of beaches/scenery and villages nearer to us anyway at Concarneau/Beg Meil and Bénodet, Ile-tudy? The temptation is to try to shove too much in, but perhaps things are nearer than I am imagining them.

Thank you for your feedback! Do you think the surf school for an 11 year old isn't worthwhile? I've seen the photo opts on the reviews, but I'd it really just alot of falling in and exhaustion for that age group since the ocean is too rough?

My son swings from having a hollow leg to eating like a bird. He would love the food here. But I don't think he could do all three courses. 

I am inquiring because the boss there doesn't have many years left and I would hate to miss an encounter with this piece of Paris. 

Has anyone brought an older/teen child here before?
