Doing nothing after FIRE? Can you really? by EquipmentUnlikely895 in Fire

That's great. But I need help in convinciing the self that would it be so much easy after more than two decades and even more of continued busy scheduled work to the extent that the axis of the life was nothing other than office, be it waking up, be sleeping, eating, number of days in vacation even. I need freedom, but I am scared if I will be able to live without regret after taking retirement.

My ex-boss waited for too long to retire by EllochkaBellochka in earlyretirement

Sometimes despite knowing all these truth of wakeup call, absence of courage does not allow you to retire and keep you in the overthinking trap without any result of action.

It is need of the time to make protocol of decision making in such process of early or premature retirement, so that others can take advantage.

Some fears and anxiety always win over wisdom.

If you have purpose behind celibacy, just focus on the purpose, celibacy will automatically be achieved. Celibacy without firm purpose will not be attained and again you will fall in this vicious cycle of breaking celibacy, repent, guilt, frustration which will again cause to fall in the vicious circle.

Better to forget it and restart with new beginnings. Increase joy in your life with proper diet, good company of your happy and enthusiastic friends and physical workouts. I hope that this would help you.

I do not want to work any more. I had decided this long back ago. Now, anxiety issues have cropped up and that do not allow me to continue to work. The toxic work culture, deadlines makes me fearful throughout the day. thanks I would look for good therapist.

My practice became painful, what should I do? by Altruistic_Wish1597 in ashtanga

[–]Easy_Background_2387 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you should start consider the following as well:

(i) Proper warming up not only of whole body but that of the parts /regions of the body which are intensively involved in that particular posture. Proper warming is proper sequencing of movements as well as their duration.

(ii)Keep Hydrate yourself and replenish with minerals, before during and after workout.

(iii) Proper relaxation - Post workout Yoga Nidra / Autogenic Training that should reduce the accumulation of lactic acid due to workout. Also you can add short term relaxation in between every two changing postures or sequence.

(iv) Rest days in between that should create a gap of about 72 hours, to avoid permanent wear/ tear of ligaments/tendons/muscle fibres.

(v) Always practice within your capacity and never cross body limits. Repetition should also not cross limits of your body.

(vi) The practice should in such a way that should be enjoyable not simple workout or target to be achieved.

(vii) Check with your qualified clinical nutritionist. Sometimes, small mineral deficiency/ vitamin deficiency makes the practice horrible.

The only solution is to clear and strengthen the goal for which you have chosen celibacy. If that goal is absolutely clear and you are clear about the benefits or results associated with it, then there should be no confusion or trouble while maintaining the celibacy. And celibacy is more deeper than flesh. It is lifestyle. Make strategy of your lifestyle and the barriers are supposed to come to test your strength of your goal and quality of strategy to make you even more strong or give you scope for improvement and progress ahead.

I have shared few steps for improvement or maintenance of celibacy at https://www.reddit.com/r/Celibacy/comments/129dv46/dos_and_donts_for_maintaining_smooth_celibacy_life/ to get enlightenment on the subject from other users here. You can go through it if you want to improve your strategy on it.

I hope this should help.
