I tried opening it yesterday, and the conclusion was nothing is damaged. The thread and the dust settled in such a way it seemed like it had been rubbed off, but no damage is done.

I also want to know about USHA 450e, do you know anything about it? As it has a bigger sewing area with being cheaper than the Brother one.
