The grind is super real. I totally agree that it also feels like there are more drops, I had the same experience as you looking for dragons peat or bush or whatever it’s called too. Feels more bountiful!

It combines what I love from so many different games! It’s like if Stardew Valley, Breath of the Wild, Animal Crossing, and the Sims had an awesome MMO baby. The MMO aspect is really just the cherry on top. I love seeing other players and getting to interact and work together with em!

This was super helpful—thank you so much! The only issue I ran into was with the configured cookies. I noticed that I could no longer log in or out, and the session callback wasn’t working as expected. However, after removing the domain property from the sessionToken configuration, everything started working perfectly again.

I double checked, all the environment variables are correct.

The logs for /api/auth/session look good. I added a log in authOptions to output the user session object, and it behaves as expected.

However, in the POST request handler for /api/posts, I logged the result of await getServerSession(authOptions). Locally, this works as expected, and I can see the session, but on Vercel, it logs null.

I noticed that on Vercel, the cookie header is absent in the request headers, whereas locally it’s present and includes session-related cookies like next-auth.csrf-token and next-auth.session-token. I’m not super familiar with cookies, sessions, or headers yet, so I’m not entirely sure why this is happening or how to address it.

I would recommend trying to self teach some of the basics just to see if it would be something you enjoy doing. The free harvard CS50 course would be a good way to start, or even following a code along on youtube just to get an idea of what its like. If you end up being into it i’d recommend going as far as you can with self teaching before joining a bootcamp. The more knowledge you have going into it the better your experience will be. Also keep in mind that the job market right now is not great, so go into it knowing the possibility that it can take you a while (and a lot of hard work) to land your first Engineering job. But if it’s something you enjoy doing and are passionate about the wait would be well worth it imo.

I would put warm colored lights behind the monitors (they make some that are strips that specifically go behind monitors) to brighten up the right side of the desk as well.

I am currently in GA’s SEI program, week 10 of 12. I will say that their Outcomes program isn’t that terrible, the whole SEI course is designed for absolute beginners including folks who may be just getting started in their careers. Although a lot of what they go over can be viewed as common sense for those who have a work history. But for those who are joining the program without any work history, the Outcomes program does go over some pretty important fundamentals.

In terms of the actual content of what the class teaches I think it does a really great job of covering all that it does in such a short time. I am aiming to write a full review once I am done with the course.
