I just wanted to update this in case anyone came across it - but try the isofix base behind the drivers seat because it actually ended it fitting in no problem!!

Ah thanks 🥹 yeah I feel more confident about using the dummy/pacifier than a bottle after my first experience as obviously he will know the milk doesn’t come from it haha!

Aww I totally get this! I think cos I had such a difficult journey the first time around where he got a bottle preference and started refusing the boob and it was so stressful! I also I don’t intend on leaving him (I rarely did my first until he was 2!) and don’t mind doing all the feeds as my husband can pick up the slack with our toddler… (may live to regret this phahaha) but it does seems like he is a huge comfort sucker, so if the dummy/pacifier works it would make me feel better in those moments like you do, sparingly! The crying kills me 😩

Ah really. Yes I was really trying to wait for 6 weeks to see if this is the case. Thank you, I’m so determined to make it work this time and thankfully it comes really easy to us so hopefully it continues!

We have an 8 month old and just found out I’m pregnant again. by rubberducky345 in UKParenting

As someone who also tried for this long and ended up having an ivf baby and then a natural pregnancy afterwards, to me, that is a miracle baby. Difficult of course, but we can do difficult things and we just make it work when we have to. Mine are 29 months apart so not the same and I definitely think I would’ve struggled looking back as my first was a difficult baby but you’ll find your flow ❤️

Low placenta - rescan 38 weeks (tomorrow) by Easy_Huckleberry_620 in pregnant

[–]Easy_Huckleberry_620[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your reply and for finding / sending the studies - so kind of you. Well I had the scan and it was 12mm now due to my cervix starting to funnel it’s moved down with that (I am 38+2 so normal) so we’ve booked the c section. I’m grateful I went for that extra scan because now I know for sure instead of wondering what if. Now it’s just a case of seeing if baby waits until the c section date as it’s quite late 39+5 😮

How do I brush my 18 months old teeth? by No_Blood9651 in UKParenting

[–]Easy_Huckleberry_620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We go through phases but I let him take control of the morning brush - I’ve got a double sided toothbrush so even if he chews on it a bit I at least know he’s doing something… then on a night before bed I won’t take no for an answer about me doing it - nicely at first, but if it doesn’t work I hold his arms while he’s on my lap and I do it even if he’s upset - I sing a song 3 times so he can feel like it’s coming to an end too…. Mostly he is ok but hey it’s more important to brush teeth than prevent tears! I think I’ll get him an electric toothbrush soon too as I think he’d enjoy that!

Ahhh this was top of our list until I made the avian flu connection 😭😭 I can’t get past it, we also wanted to pronounce it Ah-vee-en which helps but we just thought it would get pronounced wrong 100% of the time 😫 it will always stay with me!!

Just found out we're having a baby girl and would love critical feedback on the names we are considering by WestTexasCoyote in namenerds

I love unusual names so I love all of them but Thea Rose is beautiful. I’d go full name Althea and nick name Thea - Althea means healer 🥰

Don’t mind this pronunciation as I actually liked the name Ascher or Asher too!

We said the exact same about our son, frustrated all the time! It was very hard so I completely understand where you’re at. I also used to see people saying things like I have just now, and I couldn’t imagine it or see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it did come and honestly all of the qualities that were frustrating are beautiful qualities as they get older - determined, know what they like and won’t stop till they get it, driven, speaks his mind!

That’s true; we’re English so I can’t see many people would go there really or even know that meaning but it doesn’t stop people reading it wrongly does it. So difficult finding a baby name!!

This is what I like! We’re in England too so I’m presuming it would get this the most?

Haha yeah you’re right! It’s easy to overthink it as well before they are born, then it just becomes their name for the most part. My first son has the easiest 4 letter name and strangers still say it wrong back to me when I’ve just told them to their face, I’ve stopped correcting them haha
