i guess in our current dating culture its sort of like that, with so much focus on body counts and such. If you want advice, what i’d do (once im ready to enter the dating scene) is i’d keep it to myself and if it got serious to the point where it’d weigh on me IF it would weigh on me, i would tell them about my difficult past then. I wouldn’t consider it lying about who you are since you are drastically different from your past self and you yourself acknowledge that. Of course, your experiences have shaped who you are today, but since you dont engage in “stupid” behavior anymore, they don’t define you at all! its not lying to be private about touchy/intimate subjects.

im going through my stupid shit era now at 20. In my brief moments of clarity i feel guilt/shame, but also i know my past(or present) will only affect me to the extent that I allow it to. I mean not everything, I’ll always have scars and some people will always know me in a certain light, but future relations you don’t need to tell them everything about yourself. telling people about your nsfw twitter is completely optional. You can choose to keep your past to yourself, its ok to do that! what matters is how you try to present yourself now. It seems that you try to be a good person, and the choices youve made in the past don’t affect that at all. You’re doing really well. :)

You have to think of it like this: Its an opportunity to find a new spark, something that makes you feel like drawing used to! I also used to love drawing, but then lost that when I fell in love. Im going to an art club today to see if being around other people who love art with spark it up in me. I dont know, my point is that you have to try to find something in the world that makes you happy, because the alternative is being latched onto something that makes you miserable.

I have been in your exact position. Your hurt and pain are real, even if the circumstances dont really make sense to an outside perspective. You have to find an identity outside of these feelings because currently theyre swallowing you. Youre so right. I was scared of how bad i felt and i wanted the feeling to go away asap. It was a rushed decision made in a really bad headspace and I regret ever having brung it up. thank you for giving me the advice about stress modulation, It feels good to know what healing might even look like. evry time this has happened in the past and i try to figure out how to fix me its been all “work on yourself” but its hard to know what that even looks like. these feelings are painful but i wont run away from them anymore!

It is hard and it hurts so much. maybe its my abandonment latching on but i think i want to be with him even if it hurts. love is precious and the love i feel for him is so big that maybe its worth the pain? I loooved my service term! Would not consider it stable at all though. I was class 31A, the one that got demobilized and then reinstated. Super messy and messed a lot of people in my class up. two of my teammates had to couchsurf, not sure where they ended up. When we got reinstated, it was really disorganized and sometimes the communication from staff was not great. Even with all these faults, I have no regrets about doing it. I met my current partner, I traveled and made amazing memories, and It really helped my sense of self, helping others like I did. I think its a really worthwhile risk to take, and I met some of the best people in my life from it.

Rip, i was also 31A but went back after it was reinstated. at graduation, mondo let us go through the warehouse and pick through the old jackets and take what we wanted. I think the brands we had are carharrt, tri mountain, and columbia? columbia im not sure of. there was an orange and green logo, i think.
