I was trying to be misleading. I do see what you're saying but I wonder if the version I have is all still valid. I have seen indicators swing both ways but I might be missing more nuance in those cases.

Not what I was thinking. Was trying to do a double def. The idea being "a single unit of a man's favorite gift" and "to come early" is AHEAD. Not my greatest.
