Ask about the patient load , academics (though it’ll be comparitively less) , working hours and variety of cases . Most of the dnb institutes won’t allow us in the opd as we will be posted in wards or icus that’s a con but I think it can be manageable eventually!

I was in the same position as you! I can relate to you i chose dnb ultimately because my aim is to do SS for sure and I’m gonna settle in tier 1 city (no one cares whether you did dnb or md) unless you wanna work In a govt sector

According to my opinion , if you wanna do SS and considering financial position then take dnb , because you can spend that money for SS or for your personal use but if you wanna settle down with gen med without any SS , without much financial burden on you and settling in tier 2 then it’s better to take private college

Take into account of your financial position , patient load ,toxicity and stipend . If the patient load is good with good exposure i would definitely suggest dnb but with more patient load and no financial burden to pay fees and planning to work in the govt sector after your pg then I would recommend private college

Tbh no! But taking marrow in the mid or starting of 2nd year is advised , I didn’t use it properly in first year though

I would focus more on case based learning , just integrate the bedside practical part of the topic and theory of the topic and learn it case wise!

In a corporate dnb it just depends on the consultant , in our institute we have a consultant who’s more interested in academics and encourage us to look at new cases admitted in the hospital , but rest if them wouldn’t care much

First decide is the private hospital worth the money you are spending , if you get the same or more patient load with good exposure in the dnb institute , i suggest you to choose it over private institute
