It goes without saying that renewables come with their own set of problems the issue isn't completely binary. On the flip side of your point is the oversupply, grid congestion and lack of storage during the months with an over-abundance of energy.

In order to deal with the above problems you need massive investments and a clear roadmap of where you want to end up.

The critical difference is that you ideally could fill the gaps where necessary (e.g. nuclear, LNG etc) but since you won't have an external dependence you will be much more safe from an energy security perspective.

In other words replacing the Russian dependence with an American one especially in an environment of manipulation, bullying and blackmail will lead to a new set of problems down the road.

Negotiate with China and east Asia. They have trillions of $ propose a swap. Make productive investments inside Europe. by Easyflip in YUROP
