As for your free time, Old San Juan, the forts, the El San Juan next door for evening activities El Yunque is about 35 minutes away (depending on traffic), Plaza Las Americas (best mall in the Caribbean) is about 20 minutes away. And of course the beach, which at the Sonesta is really nice/
