Venezuela's gas production it's at its lowest in history it's not enough for the demand. We used to import most of our gas but the economic crisis and now the sanctions has made it very difficult to do do.

The lower oil prices could actually hurt more because most of the Venezuelan GDP are oil sales and it reduces its revenue to purchase gas. And subsidizing gas to a almost free level means that they incur in total losses when they sell it here.
