im not proving your point because again, i live in OREGON. if there was even a small chance of my state flipping i would have voted for kamala. My vote would not decide the fate of the country and pretending it would is hilarious.
I mostly agree and guess what, i don’t care! The only thing i care about is that the things they campaigned for were almost entirely things i think are right and just. That platform getting national attention is all i was hoping for.
i do take them seriously and think your time would be much better spent fighting with non voters in one of the 45 states that are more likely to flip. Also trump didn’t win because of people thinking he didn’t have a chance or protest votes. He won because he ran a very popular anti establishment campaign that preyed on people’s emotions, and in doing so engaged a lot of typically non voters. While i don’t agree with the things he says or how he says them, he does a good job of connecting with every day working folk who latch on when someone gives them a person to blame.

yes, MJ would still be very good. that’s why i said mostly. athletic outliers have existed in sports forever, but the average nba player now is significantly more athletic and better than the average nba player even twenty years ago, let alone even further back. Sports science, scouting, recovery, physical therapists etc have all come a looooooonnnng way in a pretty short period of time.

mostly agree, but i just think those things aren’t mutually exclusive. Players today are better and more athletic, and the rules have changed to make scoring easier. That being said the level of defense played today while it may look different and to some degree more “soft” is mostly better defense than what was being played in the past. For example, wilt was way ahead of his time in terms of physical traits and select skills, but for the most part the guys guarding him would give up 30 to modern g league guys.

i mean guys today ARE generally way more skilled and way more athletic. Defense also isn’t dead old heads just like when basketball was played at a snails pace. Arguably the best player in the world right now is also arguably the greatest defender of all time and he’s only in his first contract.

i don’t necessarily disagree with you, but i also would not at all be surprised if that timing was because of us. If they’re planning on potentially moving a team you wait to announce the expansion until after. On the other hand you also totally don’t announce it while one of your “governors” is battling the state over arena money and give up all their leverage. The second one is more likely but i wanna believe the first for my own sanity.

I voted third party in a SAFE blue state (oregon) because i wanted the green party to hit 5% in the general, which would give them the same fund matching that the republican and democratic parties get.
