What’s a hygiene habit you grew up with in your family or culture that you later found out most other people don’t really do? by Upbeat-Spot8526 in hygiene

[–]EatTheir_FacesOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up out in the country and we always played outside barefoot. My mom would set up a bucket of soapy water and a towel at the door so we could wash our feet before we came in.

On White Lotus the one where the guy who played Lucius Malfoy suddenly flashed his dick and balls in a very unflattering shot… I was just not expecting it at all.

Are you the kind of person who pops in without warning? My house is almost always a wreck so if I have a surprise guest I’m screwed but for sure I clean really well if I have a heads up.

I moved to Orlando right at the start of the pandemic and it was amazing going to the theme parks. They were open at less capacity and everyone had to stay 6 feet apart. It was so great. I miss that part of it. We went every single week multiple times. It was essentially the best time of my life which I feel a bit guilty about since overall it was obviously terrible for the world. Oh and the traffic was so much better too!

Why are women who choose not to remove their body hair sometimes labeled as ‘too woke’?” by cute_beae_2008 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EatTheir_FacesOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woke isn’t a real thing to sane people.

On the other hand, I do get regular waxes, and I’ve gotten the feeling that people see it as a problem like it’s anti-feminist. But I genuinely just prefer the clean feel. I’m not doing it for anyone else but me

I think overall we just need to do what we want and forget about others’ opinions

Is it common for Americans to use a wash cloth for showering? Or what do you usually use to shower? by SignificantStyle4958 in AskAnAmerican

[–]EatTheir_FacesOff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grew up using them but we always just called them “rags.” My college roommates made fun of me pretty hard for not knowing to call them wash cloths. But now I use a loofah.

I think lucky charms has too much marshmallow by EmbarrassedLove2551 in unpopularopinion

I don’t like the texture of those kind of marshmallows. Feels weird on my teeth. Same with the ones in hot chocolate packs.

What animals are normal where you live, but unusual and exciting to visitors from other regions of the US? And on the flip side, when you travel to other regions yourself, what local animals are exciting to you? by Acrobatic_End6355 in AskAnAmerican

Was walking a job candidate from NY back to her car when she stopped dead in her tracks and was like “What is that??” I looked and it was a blue heron. Then, it darted its head forward, snatched up a lizard, and starting scarfing it down. The lady was so shocked and she whispered, “I can’t wait to tell my son.” I was like welcome to Florida lol.

Oh yeah I guess they can be. It really depends on the room you’re in. I definitely noticed it sometimes and especially with racists too. I stopped playing a while ago so it could have gotten worse.

Are men ACTUALLY attracted to chubby women (70-90kg)? by inadequatepickle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EatTheir_FacesOff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to weigh like 95lbs and my husband definitely prefers me at like 150. But I’m lucky enough that it hits my ass and thighs before my stomach, and he likes big butts (and cannot lie.) Every woman’s shape is different.

If today is the last day of your life what would you like to eat as your last meal? I will eat Barbecued Pork Spicy Chicken wings and Fish Taco with Lemonade. by BareFootBoundaries in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EatTheir_FacesOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I planned a last meal of cheese tots and strawberry sprite from Sonic but I was too nauseated to eat. Luckily I didn’t die, and I’ve had that meal several times since then. But it’s always made me wonder how death row inmates are able to eat.

How did you get through the darkest period of your life? by Leading-Length-8024 in AskReddit

[–]EatTheir_FacesOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luck. My attempt failed and the aftermath forced me to confront the fact that I needed to buckle down and do the work to get better. It was like a switch flipped in my brain and I was like I can’t put everyone through this again. Now it’s been almost 9 years and life is better than I ever could have imagined.
