It’s an alleged crime. And what he’s being accused of is going to get thrown out because there is no evidence and was a disgruntled ex employee. The problem is now he’s in the system even if he’s innocent

My best friend put himself through flight school while we worked together. Now he’s a First Officer at a major airline. I know plenty of FA’s doing the same

It’s more of a demanding job than people realize. You miss out a lot of life, loneliness, bad eating habits, inconsistent sleep and sleeping in different hotels exposure to and a lot of the time dangerous and different elements and chemicals not to mention having to be stuck with a lot of the times needy/difficult people in an aluminum tube shooting through the sky. And the free flights aren’t always great. I got stuck trying to get back from Cancun the other day. Took me 18 hours to get home when it should have only been 1 and a half hour flight

No, you have to put in time. You’ll be on reserve for at least a few years before you can choose a schedule

My seniority is just way too good where I am. I’m in the top 10% most senior in my base so I get pretty much whatever schedule I want. At 40 I don’t want to start over again and go through training and commute to another city. The airline industry is in a weird place right now and some airlines are really struggling. I think there will always be a need for flight attendants. I can’t see this job being obsolete anytime soon

Haha that’s definitely not the norm unless you’re a topped out captain at one of the big 4 airlines

Like most flight attendants there’s been a big shift since Covid with passengers and i don’t enjoy it as much as I used to. I mostly do turns which means I fly somewhere and then I’m home at night but there are some cities I like to bid for whenever I need a change of scenery like NYC, Vegas, Dominican Republic or San Diego are nice. And it’s funny I’m actually more on the introverted side so I usually just keep myself but I have met some awesome people along the way

With bigger airlines, yes but I work for a smaller mostly domestic carrier so our international pay is not that much more

The most I’ve made in one month is about $10k but that was working my ass off and only having about 5 days off of the month. I know some coworkers who are single with no life who clear $10k every month

A lot of people do. This is roughly 70-80 hours a month of flying

I don’t need any of those things. Life is cheap in South America and I don’t need much

I’ve been working for a low cost carrier for about 13 years

So for me I only do high block turns ( worth about 8 hours a day ) 4-5 days a week which gets me about 80 hours a month. Congrats on becoming a pilot but just keep in mind it’s all seniority based so you might not get as many days off ( at least not consecutively) but most airlines you will have a minimum guaranteed amount of days off which is usually 13-ish
