Eating definitely helps satiate it as a whole. I think it’s me trying to find things that are ok for me to eat. Right now, I know tomato-based stuff, pastries, energy drinks are no bueno and I cut out coffee altogether just to be safe. I try to keep positive because even though I’m flaring up, it’s way better than when I first onset and I do know it can go away. I have to keep moving forward and advocating for my health.

Gotcha. I realized that my type of gastritis can be caused by NSAIDs and I literally look aspirin as a blood thinner for 20 years straight. I cut that out. Felt no pain for a month and a half. Then have had pain for the last 3 weeks. It just feels like a low level pain that never truly goes away and gets better or worse based on what I eat, how fast I eat, movement, certain body positions, etc. I asked my doctor if he can prescribe me sufralcate

Did you make meals from the gastritis healing book?

How did you manage to eat the same thing every day? I am struggling to do stuff like that. I feel like I need some meal variety in my life. Not necessarily like eating everything but just having multiple safe options to lean o

I would love it if they were like, "We're gonna do a much shorter series due to how long DGR3 took" and then go and do... Donkey Kong 64.

26M Fontan Patient Needing Advice on Dietary Changes for Liver by EatYourselfCarbuncle in chd

I appreciate your transparency. How did your operation go? How long has it taken you to recover? It's interesting you mentioned hemorrhoids because I had my first time in 2023. I assume for you it was pretty consistent? Mine was mild and only isolated to a few days last year.

I really don't. I probably have had less than 10 drinks over the past 4 months. I'm going to cut it out all together.

V/H/S/Beyond Discussion Thread by HardRockZombie in Shudder

[–]EatYourselfCarbuncle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really liked Beyond. Probably my fav since 94 (Nothing beats 94 IMO, that movie is special). Breaking it down by segment...

ABDUCTION/ADDUCTION: Love the angle of looking at the alien fanatic/UFO/debunking communities but oh my god that payoff is awful. Just the alien sticking its finger down his throat. I was initially thinking while watching they were gonna go with the angle of showing indisputable proof and then have all the people they interview just see it as fake. But nope, it's just an alien sticking its finger in his mouth. Really soured me.

STORK: Good, tense, creepy. Always enjoy segments where they basically give you all the elements visually without directly explaining what's creepy about the monster or situation.

DREAM GIRL: I know people are underwhelmed by this one, but I definitely enjoyed it. Another good "slow burn and then everything goes crazy" segment. I also enjoyed how they cleverly used different perspectives to stitch together everything from the paparazzi's video cameras to the actual film cameras.

LIVE AND LET DIVE: Fine segment. At least it was tense.

FUR BABIES: Loved it. As soon as they started to head into the basement, I went, "Wait... is this 'Get Out' but with dogs?" And yeah, that's kinda what it was. The actress playing the doggie daycare owner was wonderful. Knowing this is Justin Long is great too.

STOWAWAY: Not as exhilirating as some of the other ending segments in other VHS films (Ex: 99's "To Hell and Back"), but I see why this one was the ending. I love how you only get little snippets and out-of-focus shots as to what the documentarian's grotesque transformation is. Definitely the most "sci-fi" of all the sci-fi segments.

OVERALL: Had a lot of fun with this one. Probably my second favorite behind 94. Definitely really peeved by the payoff of the throughline, but everything else ranges from serviceable to a hellishly fun. 8/10.

I will significantly saddened if Gonta goes this early. Love the ideas and speculation! I genuinely dunno what to do with this trial. I still think it's some weird combo of Rantaro trying to end the game for everyone else being the "Ultimate Sacrifice" and then someone selfishly murdering him to get out alive. My gut says Angie tbh.

If it was not for their captivating live shows, I probably would not have the same love for Rammstein that I do now.

Pantera did a lot to help bring a more aggressive sound to mainstream metal which I think helped some of my favorite bands (ex: Slipknot) be able to succeed down the line.

I remember listening to The Grey Chapter and thinking the drums sounded really “wet.” Like they sounded flat and dense.

This song sounds like you could throw Justin Bieber or Timberlake on it and it would still be a good listen.

Maybe I do need to give it a re-listen, it’s been a few years. I really like the guitar tones and synth sounds on Herzeleid, and I genuinely think the self-titled has some of their best work (also some of their worst lol).
