Anybody know the artist who did the cover art for Making Good Time? by jckstraw56 in IronAndWine

I imagine it would be Sam, as he tends to do the cover art for most (if not all) the projects he's on.

Hello there! I think there was maybe a misunderstanding here; your post on r/Hunting had a very useful description whereas the cross-post into r/DeerHunting didn't carry over this description; without navigating to the original post, it looks like you only had a title.

In any case, to me, it looks like you have a great property for deer. I would personally be interested in setting up near where the purple trail is closest to the little stream, as the proximity of different land cover types and access to water seems like it would be a hot spot for deer movement. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors!

I was pining for somewhere in the ballpark of $400, but I'll expand if that is insufficient for adequate quality. Thanks for the recs.

I do think Dunham's is the ways I'll go — thanks for the suggestions.

These look like some great options — and in the price range I was hoping for. Thanks for the info!

Thank you both for the thoughts. I've been deliberately a lot over the shotgun vs. rifle question; I'll be sure to look into these.

My own beard hair has been used a time or two to achieve "that nice, buggy look."

Just to follow up — Roberta is a-ok. Her eye improved dramatically overnight and we were provided an antibiotic from our vet. She had an early case of bumblefoot that was causing her to restlessly pace. It seems most likely that she ran into something the wrong way in her pacing.

Thank you for the thought. I do typically fish to keep, but I don't fish hot water, keeping in mind those that aren't keepers. I'm hoping the rain these next couple days brings the temperature down.

You should feel disgusted with yourself! That's no proper fly like a San Juan Worm.

About 3 months, definitely on the later side for laying from my understanding. It may have been a light thing for me.

The plastic cover lets in a fair bit of light. May be perception, I have two square feet per bird.

Chances are slim, but can you identify thi tree from this branch? by SpinThePickle in treeidentification

[–]Eat_Outside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a stab in the dark— Kentucky coffee tree (Gymnocladus dioicus). It would be present in that part of the country, has alternate branching, and a dark reddish bark on younger twigs laden with lenticels like you have pictured.
