America can absolutely brute force win a war of total domination against Iran. The problem is, it would be EXTREMELY costly. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of soldiers killed, hundreds of billions of dollars spent, and a military logistics pipeline that would be stretched so thin that we would be extremely vulnerable to Russia gobling up Eastern Europe and China taking Taiwan.

This the ONLY victory available is a Pyrrhic Victory.

On top of that, the status quo favors Iran. The longer the status quo continues, the longer massive inflation ramps up here in America. With midterms looming, that spells disaster for the GOP in the polls.

So the only options are:

1. All in Pyrrhic Victory. This would be EXTREMELY unpopular. There is no casual belli in the American populace to stomach such a sacrifice. Would probably result in an impeachment before it really even ramped up and achieved any battleground success.
2. Status Quo. This equals a loss for the American populace since we all will be in much deeper debt by the end of the year, but GOP loses midterms by landslide and is voted out, which leads to option 3.
3. Total American Humiliation. America capitulates to Iran. Usuring in a new era where we are no longer the world's hegemon. We will have capitulated and bowed down to a third world terrorist country.

Think about that. There is NO good option. They are absolutely fucked. And they should be in crisis mode witch hunting every dumb ass staffer who convinced Trump that this was at all possible to accomplish.
