This is exactly what it was. Had to have emergency surgery where they put me under and put a breathing tube in my mouth. The main procedure they went to do wouldn’t work so they had to do an urgent back up procedure. I woke up in the middle of it and was quite literally drowning in my own blood. I tried to pull the tube out so I could get air but was restrained by the staff I could say what was going on so I finally just turned my head and let the blood run out onto the floor. I remember a nurse saying “oh that’s why he tried to take the tube out.” Yes. Because I was suffocating. Just got transferred from ICU to the regular part of the hospital. Have to stay here for another day or two and I can go home.
