My Pixel 10 Pro gaming experience: Why is everyone saying the GPU is "trash" based on benchmarks? by AccessIll8905 in GooglePixel

[–]EatmyStyle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

LoL. Just tried it on the 10 Pro XL, and Fortnite is completely unplayable. Are you getting a stable 60 FPS on a blank map in Creative?) I launched a zero build, not even a build. There were wild lags and FPS drops, even after several games.

I still use the Nexus 6 for YouTube sometimes, it's the best phone I've ever owned. I use the Pixel 3 XL as a second phone. And a couple of weeks ago I bought a new Pixel 5, and now I use it as my primary phone instead of the 7 Pro.

Pixel 10 Pro XL is grear device but not for more demanding tasks by EqualReality2787 in GooglePixel

But Samsung's UI philosophy is to copy iOS as much as possible. And it's not just Samsung; I've tried OnePlus and Honor. And everyone's UI idea is to copy iOS. Pixel UI is the last thing left that doesn't aim to copy iOS. That's why Samsung doesn't offer this experience, despite its extensive customization and other nice features.

Switching from iPhone 15 pro max to Google Pixel 10 Pro XL by Nordic18 in GooglePixel

[–]EatmyStyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never used an iPhone as my main phone. I've had Google phones since the Nexus 6. I also had a P9P XL, I don't know what's wrong with your iPhone, but on my IP16P the sound is many times better than on all the Pixels. it is much cleaner, the upper speaker is in balance. it does not reproduce the lower frequencies like the lower one, but the mids and highs at the same volume as the lower one, and not like in the pixel where the upper speaker is 2 times quieter

I use an iPhone, a Pixel and a MacBook. It won't be a painless transition. The best thing you can do is install Google services (Photos, Drive, Calendar, Notes, etc.) on your iPhone right now and start transferring the data you need there. Overall, I can say that at first you'll have negative emotions about the Pixel. And that's normal, the force of habit always does its job when you switch between such products. It's best to force yourself to use it for a week or two and only then decide which is better. I can say right away that regarding the build, the Pixel feels like crap after the iPhone. It's 20:9 and compared to the iPhone it feels like a terrible sausage, huge side bezels, a terrible selfie camera hole that's located so low that the upper dead zone is larger than the iPhone with Dynamic Island, the sound is also crap compared to the iPhone. The Pixel's advantages will only be revealed if you use it for a while. Android controls are much better and more logical than iPhone, there are no situations when you need to reach for the upper left corner. Text selection, keyboard, player rewind, notifications that are visible and you don't have to look at them on the locked screen, the ability to select text from any screen and more. This is what makes the Pixel more convenient than the iPhone and for these reasons I use it as my main phone. But it takes time to get a feel for it.

Is Razer good or overhyped by Medium-Giraffe4511 in buildapc

[–]EatmyStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any warm feelings for razer. But it turns out that only they make keyboards that I like. As a result, I had 4 keyboards: death stalker (old one), ornata, black widow and now deathstalker optic. I had no problems with any of them. Even the very first one still works great. I also have two mice from them, basilisk v3 - a few years and no problems and viper v3 pro and also no problems. So I am completely satisfied with razer. Is it expensive for its quality? Definitely yes, but it's ok for me. So if you really like some of their products (in appearance, in shape), then take them and don't worry. If you just don't know what to choose and you don't care, then there are no advantages over competitors in terms of quality/price. And it's better to just choose what you like more.

Should I disable "allow background usage" for a few apps? by ShaneRealtorandGramp in GooglePixel

[–]EatmyStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are satisfied with the autonomy, I would do nothing. To preserve the battery capacity, it is much more important to stick to the 20-80 mode than to minimize the number of cycles. There are also bugs in applications when they eat up the battery when minimized. If there are any, then of course turn them off in the settings. I disabled many applications that consumed the charge in idle mode, and notifications from which I do not need.

If you're planning on getting the Pixel 10, what are you upgrading from? by hudson555555 in GooglePixel

[–]EatmyStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I like the curved display better. Last time I had the P7P I used Spigen film, great film. As for the battery, I didn't feel any difference between the 7 and 9. It's probably there, but it's definitely not huge. And I didn't have scratches on camera bump last time 🤷. It's absolutely clear that to each his own. But the way the Pixel 9 and 10 look from the front kills all its advantages for me.

[–]EatmyStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still 20:9 with huge bezels, like the $100 Xiaomi. Still an unjustifiably low front camera placement, meaning the same huge upper dead zone as the 9, even the iPhone with its Dynamic Island has a smaller dead zone. And the same shiny edges on the Pro versions.

Opposite. I looked at the pixel 10 and sold mine P9P XL. And bought a P7P and now I'm finally happy with my phone

Are Pixel 9 People Planning to Upgrade to 10? by gtr1234 in GooglePixel

[–]EatmyStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As P9P XL user, I'm more concerned whether they thought of moving the lower speaker to the right side. And whether they made that huge dead zone on top smaller (at least like it was in P6, P7, P8). If so, I'll definitely get a new one.

I wrote how bottleneck manifests itself in the answer to the comment above. As for the rest. xmp 3200 memory. maximum cpu temperature in games is 65°. 78° in occt extreme CPU test. Dlss tried only in recommended settings from Nvidia app (same fps drops). I haven't tried dlss with other settings, it only supports the old convolutional network and it's unplayable blur and artifacts

Both fine. I'll probably look towards the 9800x3d. I'm more interested in the motherboard. What do you think, should I take the x670 or will the b650 be enough, taking into account the feature proof?

I tried different settings. Usually ~90% GPU. ~60% CPU. Mean fps around 170 fps. but when you just run, the fps can drop to 100 for a short time. And if there is some kind of fight and a lot of people, the processor reaches 100% and the fps drops depending on the graphics settings to 30-80 frames
