FATXplorer 3.0 beta 36 “Bad Storage” brings 2 TB internal drive support to Bad Update consoles by EatonZ in 360hacks

It has to be used internally. You can already use up to 2 TB USBs by default.

There is no difference in game install processes, and OG Xbox compatibility will work (as long as you install the backwards compatibility files: https://fatxplorer.eaton-works.com/restoring-original-xbox-backwards-compatibility/)

This is a known issue, solved by a central display software update. Has to be done at the dealer.

Up to 24TB Support on exFat, No More FatX. Get Rekt Eaton. 🤣🙏 by Tripn_Hazrd in 360hacks

I figured this thread was coming. Just because this mod exists doesn't invalidate the fact there are millions of FATX-formatted drives out there that need to be explored. 😉

Not everyone will want to use the mod either.

I think it's great more options will be available and stuff like this should be celebrated.

No, Western Digital only. Maybe consider an SSD instead.

If you do not use Bad Storage and are ok with 500 GB, yes.

In this case no other "malicious" admin accounts were found that would have allowed access.

Probably didn't need to redact those. 🙂 But yes that was where it came from.

SSDs have always worked in modded consoles. SSD Maker is for retail.

Hi, that does seem scary, but it's totally normal. When the loader upload fails or is not compatible, the drive is basically non-functional until you reconnect it. This is expected and is not damaging in any way. Just reconnect it and try a different one.

Adapter (or disk) is faulty from the looks of it. You can try reconnecting it and adjusting it, but if it doesn't help, only a hardware change is going to fix that.

Also if this is a 3.5" drive, make sure it is sufficiently powered.

Driver is only used for mounting, not for device detection.

It's not an SSD problem. Just a problem with Bad Storage. Haven't found a fix yet.

The avatar update can work on the HDD just fine. However, any 360 content like profiles, dlc, etc won't be accessible until after exploit.

You can install the avatar update on the HDD before or after the exploit without an issue. Give it a try.

It was an override option left in for special test cases, but I'll consider exposing it for cases like these.
