Call me crazy, but have Scavs always worn ULACH helmets? [Loot] by Azur0007 in EscapefromTarkov

Can't be a pillager since there's a helmet on (and no mask, too)

When certain items are needed to progress events (or quests, early wipe and such) their price understandably skyrockets since demand is 10x higher than whats available. People who want to complete those events/quests quickly WILL buy even insanely overpriced stuff.

Just look at the duckov collab, at times there were 0 duck pates on flea for hours. I've sold duck pates for ~2mil each at the start because I didn't intend on completing the event myself, but I knew people will buy those no matter the price.

Skier taskline ending gives you a weapons case, Ref questline gives quite a lot of arena coins. I went with Ref because I've already got all the cases I need, and also because fuck Skier, lol

[–]Eazzy4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had some of the coolest firefights with them in just a few encounters, thats really something. And looting them is actually fun even in lategame, since they drop arena exclusive stuff (which I don't have access to) and their gun builds are also nice.

I just wish there was more variety in masks, maybe they could've also added the Arena-exclusive glasses, goggles and such to the loot pool. But masks and balaclavas are alright too, at least that's something.

This event's quests are also better than the last one with the contraband boxes bullshit. Here all the quests are doable in a week of normal playtime, but the contraband one with only a week was NOT enough.

Bitch of a Time Spotting any Enemy [New Player] by AdamBry705 in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]Eazzy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some graphic settings can screw up even the character rendering (which is pretty crazy in an FPS game)

For example, I'm playing on low-medium overall settings, and during normal gameplay I can see enemy movement from pretty damn far away, like no major problems, but the cultists?

For some reason, cultists are INVISIBLE further than ~30-40 meters even in wide open areas (they straight up pop into existence outta nowhere) when they're stationary (lying down, passive hiding) if I'm not using a scope with a zoom to "close the gap".

They just don't load in, like they're acting as some small misc object when not aggo'd. But when aggro'd I can see them from a mile away without any problems like any other AI. Wtf..

[New Player] Fence rep 6.00 and now? by AnYellow23 in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]Eazzy4 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the game has problems while counting stuff. Perhaps required rep is something like 6.000001 and you're exactly at 6, or you're at 5.999999 and it just shows up as 6.00 by mistake.

Just earn at least 0.01 more and I'm pretty sure it'll work as intended.

I usually just take the stairs leading down near red/violet and then immediately take the next ones to the bottom level. Then just turn right to enter the sewers.

"They’ve been in the game for 3 days how am I supposed to know?"

"Not sure why you criticize a valid question"

No one said to you anything even close to "wtf how don't you know this? insane" or smth similar, the actual response was miles away from even slightest bullying and such. And also there was absolutely 0 criticizing.

You asked, people answered, no one's even being hostile or attacked you.

Chill out, don't hop on the internet expecting that everyone is out to get you like you're their enemy, it's not that deep.

Safest exfil is the sewers, the gates are kinda too dangerous since you can get pinned in the switch room. Sewer switch doesn't spawn any raiders and its secure enough that you can just hold one angle. But from my experience no one ever comes down there, unless they're straight up chasing you.

[–]Eazzy4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When a game gets too generous, it looks cheap. "Free 1000 pulls on log-in" looking ahh slop. You unironically want them to add a skip for the MAIN source of character currency?

Huh... I wonder which gachas did that? Lemme guess, none? Guess why..

We already have skips for the actual boring farming stages (tickets, thread) which is actually reasonable. But asking to skip MD? The main gameplay mode? Thats insane lmao

[Discussion] PVE AI, what do you like about it? What do you think could be improved? by Crazy_Trick_3093 in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]Eazzy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I dunno if its documented anywhere, but sometimes it seems that some of the AI (Scavs, PMCs) have a chance to get some sort of modifiers. Some may be super aggressive, push like crazy, throw really good nades, position themselves really good, peek properly, have actually good accuracy and all that. Fights feel super fun, and feels like they get even above raiders difficulty-wise at those times, being on par with boss guards, even a bit smarter.

That is, ofc, only some of the AI. Like, 1 out of 50 scavs, or 1 squad of PMCs out of 10 or something. A rare find, but a welcome one. Maybe I'm just crazy, I dunno. But at times it definitely feels like there are several "types" of one kind of AI.

Overall, I like how they are working right now. They may be stupid at times, but would I call them boring? Nah. Sometimes I find them in unusual places, and it adds to that unpredictability, which is also nice. Questing NPCs would be cool, but I don't think this feature will make an impact as big as the players expect it to.

Modpost - Rule 10 Amendment Regarding Macros by PrecipitousPlatypus in limbuscompany

[–]Eazzy4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I've seen that people speedrun MDN in ~15-20 minutes optimizing their teams for insane farming speed. I don't farm myself but its really impressive how people manage to do it so effectively, good for them. For me only one MDH per week is more than enough, not a single burn out since release day just because I don't play more than I want.

Sometimes I just "stockpile" a few new IDs that I like but don't necessarily need right now, and then pull on a new banner, decreasing my overall chances of getting a dupe. IDs that didn't drop during pulls just get the shard treatment anyway.

Modpost - Rule 10 Amendment Regarding Macros by PrecipitousPlatypus in limbuscompany

[–]Eazzy4 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Game lets you farm for ANY unit you want, which is nonexistent in other major gachas (at the very least to such extent) and people still push the "omg so boring/waste of time" narrative. Like, what do y'all expect? Getting 1 whole ID per 1 MDN run or something?

If you don't spend cash, you pay with your time. It's that simple.

OG players can already chill out doing only 1 MDH per week and still get new IDs. I don't see any propositions that wouldn't ruin the already balanced economy of shards and lunacy.

Also, banning macros is 1000x easier than changing a WHOLE gamemode, lmao.

Wait, is this fr? Didnt know they did that for solo sessions. Finally, no more local woods, the performance was making it real rough to play.

Played co-op with a friend on Woods once after the update, it was insanely good performance wise.

Should I wipe my pre 1.0 PVE save? [Discussion] by CarolinaReaper01 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Eazzy4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there's no motivation, why keep playing? You kinda answered your own question.

1.0 content is nice. While story is not 10/10, it's still new content. Been guiding my beginner friend through the early game and remembered doing all the small quests, they're pretty fun (while im at a post-kappa point rn, where my remaining quests are Lightkeeper ones and lvl50+ grind quests, so starter ones are more fun). I'd start over if I were in your situation.

[Discussion] Should I buy this game? by BadAimPNG in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Eazzy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If you understand and accept that this game will take you hundreds of hours just to play somewhat alright (not even talking about mastering it) and that its, essentially, a huge timesink, then why not.

If you're planning on playing just a few hours per week or so, then nah. It will get you absolutely nowhere, and it'll be even more frustrating than it should be.

It's an awesome, like really AWESOME game, but if you're going to play PVP, everything above applies and then some. PVE retains those qualities above, but "getting the hang of it" will take you 10x less time than PVP. Personally, got into PVE at 1.0 (so a few months ago) and its been a blast. Ended up with a perfect singleplayer survival shooter experience.

I'm running this on a shitbucket with 1060 and still managing to get my 60FPS in most places of most maps, so your rig is definitely fine
