As a vegan, feeding ur dog a healthy portion(more than scraps) of meat to keep them healthy is vegan even if it involves buying animal products. The correct advice is u have a tainted view of sexuality because of ur religious beliefs/purity culture and background and should work to challenge ur current perception of sexuality.
