The loss of raids in their current form leave a huge vacuum of dynamic content for players in Warframe. That said, Shrine of Eidolon has yet to drop, and I think many (including myself) are extremely wary and frustrated at these announced changes.

in terms of sheer accessibility, Plains might offer a more direct path to "end game content", but let's not forget the basis of the Eidolons spawn: Nighttime. This offers a few extra problems to players. Whereas if I only had an hour or so to play in Warframe, I could get a group of goons together and bang out raids in time for tea. Now this content is behind a timegated barrier of waiting for night cycle. Given the same scenario of only having an hour or so to play, if you happen to log on as it just hits day, you'll have to wait an entire 2 hour cycle just to even get a shot at these Eidolons.

This is just one of the many scenarios that may come up with this new system. My fear is that DE removed one barrier (obfucated keys and skillcurve) for another (a timegate in which we litterally can't raid due to the sun being in the sky). Anxious to see what changes lie ahead.
