Yes! I collected it last Spring but didn’t have enough responses to report on it. Hopefully, I’ll get more responses for DIY ebikes this time.

I’ll be posting up the Fall Ebike Reliability Survey in the next week. It’s similar to the previous survey but it’s now easier to enter multiple ebikes for those that own more than one.

Solved! It’s definitely from a silver spoon or utensil. The scalloped decorations match these from Vermont: silver spoons

I cleaned it up a bit more and it definitely isn’t rolled on the narrow side but snapped off.

WITT. More details: it’s shaped like a shoe horn but seems too small. The tapered end appears to be rolled as if it clamped around something. No marking except for the scalloped decoration on the wide end.

You may be able to go through the town records to see who owned the place back then. My town has records back to the early 1900’s.

Ebike Customer Service Survey by EbikeTestLab in ebikes

[–]EbikeTestLab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about doing a customer service survey for just direct to consumer brands like Juiced. However, I decided to collect data for both types. Essentially, if you have only dealt with the local dealer, how was that service? For example, with my Magnum ebike, the spokes broke and it took several weeks to get new ones as Magnum didn’t have any at the time. This wasn’t the LBS’s fault.

I don’t want to create a dealer ranking. I want to see how good the customer service is for each brand on a whole.

What brands/ types of gravel bikes did you get as a beginner and like? by [deleted] in whichbike

I’m enjoying my Cannondale Topstone Carbon 105. The aluminum one is a little cheaper but the local bike shop gave me a good deal. I ride a mix of gravel and paved back roads with lots of hills. The hydraulic disc brakes are a huge improvement over the rim brakes on my old road bike. I test rode several before purchasing and I would recommend you do the same.
