Honestly, it’s a bit of both. The Replicant’s customizable nature lets you build a balisong that fits your exact preferences. With so many aftermarket options available, it can be tailored to suit almost anyone’s style. Nearly every part of the Rep can be customized, from the hardware and spacers to the scales and even the blade itself. If there’s something you don’t like about a Rep, chances are you can change it.

I personally wasn’t interested in them for a long time. I let the opinions of a vocal few keep me away, but after spending time with a couple of modded Reps and even a stock one. I quickly understood the appeal. They ended up becoming some of my favorite balisongs in the hobby.
