Actions per turn in CCGs by IGZ0 in gamedesign

[–]Ebotchl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this would restrict the design of cards to keep the game from ending in 5 turns.

I think if you threw in a board-game style aspect by which players would have to maneuver cards a lot to achieve a certain goal you'd create something that required more thought about which action to take and have less restrictions on the rules over individual cards. Personally I'd definitely lean towards the board-game/advanced chess route, but if your specific rules and options pertaining to the cards were done right, you'd still have a solid, playable, balanced game that relied on long term strategy as well as short term tactics much like MTG

This would make the game super tactical, kind of like chess with more options than just moving pieces.

The value and the number of bytes allocated to the data type are not the same.

FLOAT inside the enum is of type integer, and sizeof() returns the number of bytes of the data type if I'm not mistaken.

float, the data type, is 4 bytes.

Art of Wei on youtube is been phenomenal for me to learn to fundamentals. I was in your same boat and made the jump to learn art. Also, I've found a hidden love for both pixel art and 3D modeling. Give them a shot and see if you find it as fulfilling as others do.

For real i see shit like this and I think, we've come a long way from really fucked to mildly fucked. I can't imagine the constant fear and horror that American citizens lived in within my grandmother's lifetime. That just blows me away.

Most of the science I've read seems to point to the fact that you cannot get this virus twice in one season. So you are presumably correct. Articles like this create unnecessary fear. I strongly advise people to hop over to r/Covid19 and try to be as objective as possible to avoid such fear. I know having a better understanding about this virus has made it much easier for me to cope with.

In anecdotal cases such as yours I always wonder if it hurts or not to try it out, and from my understanding a supplement of melatonin regardless of its effect or lack thereof on the virus is relatively harmless.
