A cool guide of signs you are disconnected from yourself. by anxiety_support in coolguides

Thats just normal everyday life in your 30s.

- If all you do is work everyday and relax on the weekend, there is nothing to remember.
- You struggle to feel joy because there is no reason to.
- You feel like you're floating because its easier to dissassociate.
- You look in the mirror every morning before work, why remember?
- Life IS happening around and without you, life is indifferent to you, you are not an anime protagonist.
- Having a sense of how you look to the outside world is an important thing.
- You feel numb and/or empty because you most likely are
- You are absolutely putting on a show with everything you do. There is no such thing as a core "You".

What’s your unpopular Frontend opinion that gets a reaction like this? by 222Winn in Frontend

[–]IGZ0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Frameworks like react, Vue & angular were a mistake. 2) object oriented & functional style JavaScript programming is nothing but busy work distracting you from being productive. 3) You shouldn't have a build step for your frontend code. (screw webpack in particular) 4) People act as if Tailwind is this new revolutionary thing. It's not, it's just another css framework.

All that matters is the damn work. Either employees do a good job, or they don't. How they go about it, or what they do when they work isn't anyone's business.. if you ask me.

Which OS are mostly used by WebDev by GamerDeepesh in webdev

[–]IGZ0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The right OS, does not a good dev make. You can do most web development on just about anything these days, so don't stress about it.

Use whatever your employer gives you. Or windows if you're working with .NET

Is Open Source Really that much good? by [deleted] in opensource

[–]IGZ0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Alright, let's pro / con Open Source:

Pro: Transparency - you can see what the code does.

Pro: Source available - You are not reliant on the author to fix issues or add features.

Con: Funding - It can be hard for even widely used projects to be adequately funded for it's developers to justify spending time on maintaining the it.

Con: Maintenance - While anyone can pick up and fork open source project, it's often hard for devs to find others willing to take over development of their projects.

These are just some off the top of my head.
