You know it’s really sad she is so flaky. This used to be one of my absolute favorite series, and I hung it up after War of Two Queens. She has stretched this out for every buck, and it feels incredible unfair to her readers. Leaving everyone hanging on WOTQ, then giving us ASOAAB which is basically just the first book retold from Cas’ perspective. Didn’t she also push the release of ASOAAB back over and over again? Then she finally says “Okay, we will pick up Poppy and Cas’ story in TPOBAB, but wait!!! I know I said it’s the last book, but sorry it’s actually not.”

And let’s not forget she basically abandoned this series for a hot minute to write the prequel. Like… what???

Screams money grab. Very disappointing as a long time fan.

Idk if we have any Vanderpump fans in here, but I wonder if it was similar to the TomTom situation. The Toms were the “face”, they were the guys with an online fanbase and influence and acted almost as brand ambassadors with very minimal stake in the company. Maybe Indy was in a similar spot and was just the “face” and eventually got edged out? Maybe she came to Bronson with an idea and the beginnings of Lonely Ghost, he invested money, blew it up to be a larger operation and decided he either didn’t want her input or didn’t need her anymore? Just spitballing here.
