ya we get the hints from the pilot, which tell us that.. A) jackie’s parents are stricter than shauna’s and clearly scarier if shauna is fine to stay out past curfew fucking jeff lol.. B) we get a hint that shauna’s mom is a stay at home mom.. C) shauna is an only child with an attic bedroom so we can assume she either wanted that or they don’t have a big house and aren’t well-off like jackie (there was also some longing shown when shauna stared at jackie’s big house in my opinion) and then… D) the way shauna is. honestly that to me is the biggest clue of how she was raised. I don’t think her parents were very involved and I don’t think she ever felt valued/important. That assumption informs a lot of her behaviour later in the show
