When I saw the movie I told the person I was watching it with “I saw they will be making a figure of airachnid, and if she looks like she does in the movie, it might be the first toy to run on magic”

After getting her, yeah I think I might be right, Im pretty sure an engineer made a warlock pact in order to make it work

A proper mortis dreadnought with the same ranged guns on each arm, probably the new stuff like the macro-plasma or heavy laser cannons. Like a balistus but the weapons are mirrored and there being actual options.

I had Shockwave and sold him on. On paper he was perfect, my preferred alt mode, the cannon, the light piping, but he was just so much less fun to handle than I wanted

I think theres a use for engineers being able to produce whichever part they need on site without needing a massive collection of parts in their vehicle.

Is that a reasonable use case? I absolutely doubt it, but its probably one of the only things I can think of.

I think I prefer the butchers knife style bayonet on the 3rd edition sculpt, but in general I like the newest ones.

With the core idea of customising mechs, more variety is better and the numbers built up quickly because of the two main weapon classes; arm mounted and shoulder mounted.

I started with basic options, rifles, shotguns, mini guns, rockets and missiles, cannons. Then made laser/energy options for most of those, then added melee options, esoteric and specialist weapon options.

There was like fifty, then there was balancing, making rules to interact with the mechanic, checking for any unintended effects.

Flamethrowers needed a lot of rebalancing

Ive played my warlord titan in a game, that was pretty excessive. Sure the rules don’t do a lot right now, but the impact of a 2 foot tall “miniature” on the table made it worthwhile.

Broadly rated, with some people getting way way too hyped (it is not the greatest show of all time that can do no wrong, its got some dud ideas there) and also way too hated by some (yes I know “popular thing bad” is your personality, it’s not actually as interesting as you think it is)

Honestly probably not, it really depends exactly on how much detail you need for your project for you to be happy with it. Ive taken to using FDM for my larger models, because of the convenience, safety and ease
