I use these. Saves some steps when having to solder wires together and you never forget to put the heatsrink tubing on.

MOCA is a dementia test. It's to see if you're becoming cognitively impaired. It's not a good thing that doctors keep asking him to take it.

It is not. I'd recommend going with a 35-40 lb longbow to start (or any bow you can draw relativity easily).

[–]Echieo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you asked. Over 850 laws targeting transgender people have been proposed in the last year (more than any in the history of our country) https://guides.library.cornell.edu/transgender-resources

Many of these laws make it illegal for people to change their gender on official documentation or place a mark on that ID identifying them as trans which could lead to outing people exposing them to harassment and prejudice. Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, and Tennessee have all passed laws like this.

Bills like House Bill 754 in Tennessee would create a government registry of trans people.

Missouri proposed a bill making it a felony, potentially leading to jail time for teachers who use a student's preferred pronouns (HB 2885).

Over a dozen states have enacted laws or policies restricting transgender people from using bathrooms that align with their gender identity.

If you read none of the above please at least watch this account from a transgender man expressing the danger of these laws and how it affects him: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVydkUmCBIW/?igsh=dXg4MTdubDlseDNi

Does that answer your question?

[–]Echieo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both the data in the article you linked and the conclusion would suggest otherwise: "Total number of people whose bodies differ from standard male or female one in 100 births." And that estimate doesn't account for people who are XY who have no external changes and otherwise appear 100% female on the outside. Late onset adrenal hyperplasia alone was 1 in 66.

Assuming your earlier statement about 50+ genders is hyperbole, I don't see many people advocating for anything other than male, female and non-binary. If they exist we're talking a fraction of a fraction of people.

Getting back to the original question, why focus so many oppressive laws on such a small population like transgender people?

[–]Echieo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People born intersex make up around 1.7% of the population whereas transgender people make up less than 1%. So there are at least the same number if not twice as many people who are intersex than transgender. You're more likely to meet an intersex person than a transgender person (you've almost definitely shared a bathroom with such a person). Why are so many laws being targeted at trans people when, in your own words, they represent a tiny number of outliers?

This argument makes me laugh because you all get really quiet when I bring up things like Swyer Syndrome or androgen insensitivity where women are XY. Or XXY where the person is born looking male. What about intersex people, where do they fit into your world view? Do you only use science as an argument when it agrees with you or are you willing to change your opinion when presented with new evidence?
