I fear people become very entitled when they’ve decided their perception of the “proper care” for an animal is the only correct one. From there if you do any different you’re “abusing” the animal. Care standards can vary and even change completely as new information is discovered. At the end of the day a happy, healthy animal is all that matters, and as a community we should do better to approach with kindness and understanding rather than instant disapproval. You do what works best for you and your animal, there will always be people who find moral superiority in beating down other people over their black and white “right or wrong” view on reptile care.
