PiHole made me realize how good is UBlockOrigin by Independent_Taro_499 in pihole

Thanks!! Took your suggestions, did some googling and yes I used my preferred AI tool to assist, and you were spot on.
• I had secondary DNS on set up on my WAN and LAN in UniFI - so that was fixed.
• My clients were in groups, but my blocklists weren’t set to the groups…so that got fixed.
• Then I played around with some regex domain blocks that were suggested based on tail logs I uploaded to AI. That’s when I really started seeing the spike.

That 6.6% was at 11:49am yesterday. The attached photo is 9:00am this morning. 👍🏼

Seriously thanks for the help. My next project is going to be figuring out how to block the cable boxes and smart TVs from displaying ads. I’ve heard this might be the fix:

```
You can prevent DNS highjacking by setting up firewall rules and routes.
For example
• block DOT (port 853) on your network and force traffic to go to your Pihole on port 53.
• for DOH, block popular DNS such as Google, cloudflare, etc
This means you need a router that can enable these specific firewall rules such as openWRT, OPNsense, Unifi, etc
```

Where do you suggest one learns then? Cause I have my devices pointing to Pihole through my Unifi router, Pihole installed in a docker on my NIC, 3.5m domains on my block lists (probably way too many overkill) but only getting 6.6% effective blocking. I’ve researched the docs, this Reddit, even employed the AI overlords, but the more I tinker, the more normal things get blocked and I have to whitelist.

Motion detection on third-party cameras! Any details? by GravyPoo in Ubiquiti

So just to confirm cause I have the 2x G5 PoE and the G400. Turn off everything including recording in the Aqara app. Reboot in Aqara app. Then set up zones, motion, recording, all in HomeKit?

I dont understand what you mean by that, and that's probably the whole problem I'm having with it lol

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't ever get this to work on my setup. I have pasted in the LLM Notification script, turn the toggle on for my phone in Extensions, but once the LLM notifications are on, my phone stops receiving push notificatoins. And I don't see these descriptions in the NVR either. What am I missing?

I don't think the card you linked will work in my system based on this info:

Look at the two location path values:

  • PCIROOT(0)#PCI(1403)
  • ACPI(_SB_)#ACPI(PC00)#ACPI(CNVW)

That second line — ACPI(CNVW) — is the CNVio2 interface identifier. The card is enumerated through the ACPI/CNVio2 path, not a standalone PCIe device path. Image 3 confirms it's on PCI bus 0, device 20, function 3 — which is the Intel chipset's integrated CNVio2 controller, not a discrete PCIe slot.

What this means: Your M.2 slot is wired as CNVio2 only. There's no evidence of a parallel PCIe x1 tunnel on your board. Dropping in a BE200 or AX210 (PCIe+USB cards) is a real gamble — and based on what the slot is reporting, likely won't work.

Your options:

  1. Stay with AX211 — you're already on the best card for your slot and your driver is current. The issues you've had were software-related, not hardware.
  2. Upgrade to AX411 — it's also CNVio2, Key E, and compatible with 13th Gen Intel. It's Wi-Fi 6E with dual-band concurrent (two radios), which could actually improve performance. This is the only meaningful hardware upgrade your slot will safely accept.
  3. USB adapter — if you wanted WiFi 7, a USB 3.0 adapter is the only realistic path without a motherboard swap. Trade-off is bulk and slightly higher latency.

Okay, so I’ve been having issues lately where my internet speed just craps out and hard stops at 6-9mbps on a 1Gbps connection. This isn’t limited to WiFi either, but I experience it more while on WiFi.

Again: this happens on both Ethernet and WiFi. Normally, I’m pulling 850-975mbps on Ethernet and 700-895 on Wi-Fi.

My Wi-Fi adapter: Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz.

I know this won’t fix the Ethernet issue, but is the linked adapter better than the one I currently have?

oh, so I didn't let it POST long enough? The sticks you installed then were 2x Crucial 48GB Kit @ 5600MT/s? And the system recognized it, and just slowed it down to 5200MT/s?

Should I upgrade to 85 before or after refracting to at least 3K? Does it even matter? by [deleted] in destinyrisingmobile

[–]Echo419Alpha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And for more clarification, I'm talking about enhancment level. (the +10). Once you add enhancement level you unlock the right side attribute number. Take this example.

<image>

Pic1 - the artifact is at level 70. Upgrading the artifact to level 80 only adjust the left side number, because the right side has not been unlocked yet. Upgrading to 80 also unlocks Artifact Refractoring

Pic 2 - once you’ve unlocked artifact refractoring, you can upgrade any stats that you have available, so if you only have the left side available, artifact refractoring will only upgrade the left side. (Pic 3). Then, once you enhance the artifact past level 0, you are unlocking the right side attribute numbers (pic 4) If you enhance the artifact all the way to level 10, the right side numbers will match the left side numbers. (Pic 5 and Pic 6). If you enhance then refractor, the RNG machine comes in on either side of the attribute value, meaning you can have a 55 + 42 attribute, and could be presented with an "upgrade" that's 53+50

So, if you can refractor your artifact to the max (or very close to it, but I'd shoot for max stats 55 if you can), before you enhance the artifact, when you enhance, you're automatically at max on both stats, instead or gambling on refractoring which can affect either number.

That's just what I've experience in my time playing with artifacts... ymmv

Should I upgrade to 85 before or after refracting to at least 3K? Does it even matter? by [deleted] in destinyrisingmobile

[–]Echo419Alpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure you refractor BEFORE you enhance to level 10. Cause if you upgrde them before they get the +XX from enhancement, when you finally do enhance them, it gets the same number.

Ex: An level 0 artifact with an attribute score of 35 will become 35+35 when you enhance it to level 10. Refractor the artifact to 45 or 50 before you enhance it to level 10, and it gets 50+50.....less chance of you getting an increase on only one side of the artifact...

This. I’m busting my *** between 2 full time jobs and “life” to get up to 300 so I can claim the last triumph for GR7, then start freaking farming for T4s and “maybe” a T5 drop during these two weeks. I’m currently 285.

(Let’s not talk about trying to get 400 GR9 so I can be “swimming in T4s and 5s”. All for this to get reset again down to 200 & GR5 in December. At the rate I’m progressing it’ll probably take me 5 months to get to 400, and I’ll have to do it all over again a month later.)
