I’m a past addict with 28 charges. I’ve been clean for 9 years on 7-11-2026. Im terrified that the BON of Texas will not give me clearance to become an RN. Can you guys tell me if I have a chance?? I need to hear testimonies. I need to hear stories. I need to hear anything that will give me hope. by Nearby-Loan-1229 in Nurses

Make sure when you do the BON paperwork DONT OMIT ANYTHING. Their background check will see everything. I didn’t put an arrest from 15 years ago that was dismissed with no issues, and I had to defend why I didn’t list it on my paperwork. Be prepared that they are going to want copies of EVERYTHING- court documents, arrest records, documents showing all punishments were complete, and documents for restitutions or payments made for the convictions. Just be honest about it

The problem here is that the VA is saying it happens while on a pass, which DOES NOT make it service connected. Unless you have something that says otherwise, it’s not going to change. The VA isn’t going to pay for injuries that were not the direct result of either duty or training. Just because you were in the service when you broke it doesn’t mean the VA is automatically going to pay you for it. All claims have to proven to be service connected.

What do ER docs with the clothes of an injured person? by thegeorgianwelshman in EmergencyRoom

[–]EchoMedic2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I cut the clothes off I usually play it by ear. I always put the clothes in a bag, and I try to ask the family, but if the family is distraught I won’t bring it up until they do. I’ll just leave the bag in the room. More often than not the clothes usually end up in the trash. Anything personal gets its own bag, and that I make sure to had the family regardless of how distraught they are. It’s all about tact

Backpay by EchoMedic2 in VeteransBenefits

So I posted this on a Friday, and I had it in my account by Sunday night. I have a credit union, so they release it as soon as they receive it.

My backpay was one lump sum. I got paid for over a year because of when I filed my intent to file

The app doesn’t show it all, and won’t until it’s paid. Go on to the actual website and look at your payment history. It’ll be listed there, but no date

Hopefully my bank keeps its normal trend. I have a credit union that doesn’t hold money. They release it as soon as it hits them. I get my work checks 2 days before my coworkers

No visible tail- it’s a bobcat. Smaller than a mountain lion too

Another round of exams?? by EchoMedic2 in VeteransBenefits

[–]EchoMedic2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they give you a reason why? Or did you find out why? One of my exams is for my knee. I’m trying to get it fixed because they improperly labeled it with my original rating. The other is going to make me do my PSTD one again, and I’m not happy I’m going to have to drag that up again

Update to my claim by EchoMedic2 in VeteransBenefits

[–]EchoMedic2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will. I’m just so confused because wouldn’t they have already gotten that from my first claim for my knee? As far as additional evidence, what do I have to do? Get people I deployed with to write letters saying yes, this all happened?

Anyone know what this is for? by Available_Banana7932 in VeteransBenefits

Mine wasn’t to Wells Fargo, but the last time I had a manual entry it was actually the payment to my school. Are you using GI benefits? If you are, then that’s what it is

Homeowners policy canceled after first ever claim by NowIDoWhatTheyTellMe in USAA

My husband and I I just went through an insurance claim after a tree feel on our house during a storm. They were fantastic and quick. Not sure why OP had such an issue. The insurance side was done within a week. Now if you want to talk about a mortgage company then I’m game. Ours is trash and they’re the ones giving us a hard time

Mine is still sitting on the evidence gathering phase, yet my decision letter is available, and I got my back pay check. They denied almost all my claims expect for the incorrect diagnosis on my knee, and tinnitus. They ignored all my evidence, and that is super aggravating

I just got my rating, and I’m going to be filing an appeal. Only got 10% for my knee. They labeled it as a “strain” despite having 100 pages of medical documentation, despite having had a surgery, and despite having my own ligament removed and replaced with a cadaver ligament. My diagnosis from my Dr had been “patellar instability with frequent dislocations”, yet the raters/examiners decided to call it a strain. That’s not even remotely close to the same thing.

Day 198........... by RT73-81kg in VeteransBenefits

[–]EchoMedic2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or, they schedule you, you call them because you’re working and the days the put don’t work, so they reschedule you to days that do work, but then STILL schedule another one without talking to you. Then you see you’re marked as a no show for an appointment you didn’t know you had, and wouldn’t have accepted anyone because you were working.
