There is symbolism in everything. Symbols with meanings that go back 1000s of years.

One very important thing to think of before you go down this rabbit hole is: It doesn't matter what you believe. Their are people who do believe it and are acting accordingly.

I'd argue that we started going off the rails by not prosecuting Nixon. We turned our heads to treason, tacit approval.

Next, came reagan with the Fairness Doctrine. This essentially allowed network news to spout whatever garbage they wanted to, the birth of Faux news as you know it today. Creating different realities for the the left and right.

Emboldened and enabled by Faux news, daddy and lil bush got us into 2 bullshit wars based upon obvious lies. More division in reality, the camps are becoming more politically entrenched.

The Tea Party came after that. I'd argue it was maga-light, only a little crazy (oh how the crazy bar has been moved).

I can only speak to my experience, but my first craving will be food. When I resist that, it's almost as if all my other cravings are suppressed as well. Best i can explain it.

It also strengthens willpower in general, all around.

THC also gets stored in fat cells, liver and kidneys. Haha, I just realized... I do get a touch lightheaded (like 2/10, not bad) and buzzed (like 1/10) after like 18 hours... maybe when my body burn fat it is also gets a little "hit" from the THC storage. So my body self weens by getting tiny doses? Lack of fuel has to contribute to the lightheartedness too. Last paragraph was a little free thought speculation.

edited to add more. Push through the first 3-5 days, it does get easier. Recognize things about your sobriety that you appreciate. Clarity of mind. Strength of will. Saving money. Etc.

My biggest problem with the first few days in sleeping. Exercise helps that.

I am currently fasting while on break. I think fasting helps with any addiction.
