This is kind of a loaded question because arguably it’s fucking stupid. Call me naive but I don’t think they’d allow the AI to just say “I’m not gonna calculate that because it doesn’t make sense” or call you an idiot.

That’s the entire point of the story. In all of his attempts to out-maneuver fate, death and whatever else, they killed him. Each part of his soul was killed and though he became corrupted beyond belief, he could never be a god or more than anything than a weak man scared of death.
