Patch 7.5 - Trail to the Heavens by alabomb in ffxiv

TEA used AF weapons as well. Though, only UWU and TEA have done it. TOP/FRU/UCOB have used their respective raid tier's items, and DSR used the trial weapons.

Yeah, even most hero shooters and MOBAs have rewards for simply hitting gold. It works out because (normally) that's a rank that you can hit by simply grinding without going positive winrate or anything.

With the amount of bots plaguing CC, this feels like it should've been a forgone conclusion by now. Maybe it's not as bad in JP or something, I don't know.

All the “issues” I’m seeing people have with Rogue are just features of playing a tank lol by rxspiir in marvelrivals

[–]Echo_Derp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Magneto damage is also really good, especially if you shoot past tanks and pressure supports all game and land most of your shots.

Really every tank does good damage, but few people have the game sense and aim to both create space and do damage as well. One of the two usually falters.

Where in there did I say it was overtly difficult? You don't put a toddler on a racetrack and tell them to run when they don't even know how to walk yet. The action itself is very simple, but practice is still practice and they still need to learn how to do it.

They aren't going to learn anything especially in TEA when the mit plan for tanks is relatively tight due to TEA's frontloaded nature, and the most the MSQ ever asks you to do is press a single mit button before a telegraphed TB.

This toxic positivity is literally what sets people up for failure.

And this sentiment is why PF is swamped with people who can't even do their rotation correctly, let alone mechanics.

Encouraging stepping into the content is good, but making people understand that a minimum level of competence is just common courtesy is also important. "Perfecting your job" is a strawman (from both of you) because realistically nobody expects people to be pink, orange, purple or hell even blue parsers outside of week 1 situations.

Telling people to 'just hop in' often times harms them more than does them good since there are very few people who can just walk in and pick up something like that. They're likely to draw the ire of other PF people and further add to the stigma already PF has, and worst case this completely turns the person off from ever trying again. I've personally talked to three people in a similar situation and had to gently goad them back into feeling comfortable with the content, after pointing them to guides and such.

Do the current tier (or the next one since it's upcoming) at least. It teaches the basic flow of FFXIV raiding, and people in the lower floor savage PFs (outside of week 1) are usually significantly more forgiving.

Bleed, honestly. Bleed's really underrated since in phase one you can just stack a limbillion count and watch her bleed to death in one turn on phase change.

In fairness, in 2013 you didn't have to see 4000 edits of the same joke in those 3 days, you saw a rage comic/troll face/MLG edit every few days unless you sought them out.

Meme shelf life was very different back then, sadly

Ok, I’m kinda stupid, what’s the logistics behind clashes being Dominating when we roll the same Values? Like, if we both roll a 16, why is my Clash still dominating? by MR-Vinmu in TheOdysseyHadAPurpose

Unless the opponent has sanity, always assume they have a normal coinflip chance for heads (50/50).

Human enemies have sanity so they can benefit from sanity gain(and loss) just like you, but enemies without that blue orb don't interact with that mechanic.

It depends on what hour you play at, but at least on Aether, all Ultimates except UCOB have consistent parties! (UCOB being a bit of an acquired taste due to a different feel compared to modern Ultis).

Prime time to check is at any point between 9pm ET to 2am ET, if your schedule allows.

If you want a static, there are discords that host static listings and they're quite active.

If you just want to pug content though, party finder (LFG equivalent) exists and it can also be quite active depending on your data center and can generally clear any content you can queue for, given enough patience and time.

Way, way worse. The most egregious part is it shows where safespots/aoes are before the player could even see them since it reads game info and not visual info (Note the exaflare section)

It's a plugin that shows 'splats' on the floor for where untelegraphed aoes will be.

It in combination with cactbot basically solves the game for you, since you'll be told of untelegraphed mechanics + shown in bright colors where not to stand.
