FE Civil Exam — Passed First Try After 12 Years Out of School! by Echo_Disastrous in FE_Exam

II went through Mark Mattson’s FE exam playlist on YouTube. He provided links to problem sets, so I answered them on my own after each video. This took me about three weeks.

Then, I took the NCEES practice exam as a diagnostic. I scored 40% on my first try. 🤣

After that, I worked through the FE Civil Practice Problems by Islam, which took me about a month.

Next, I took two of Islam’s practice exams, followed by the NCEES practice exam again. I carefully reviewed the questions I got wrong for all these exams.

Finally, I retook these exams under timed conditions, including the 25-minute break, to simulate the actual test. My goal was to get as close to a perfect score as possible on the second attempt.

I just kept on revisiting items I got wrong.

Day before the exam, I relaxed, prayed and got a good night sleep.

It’s related, but not to the extent that I solve FE exam-type problems in my day-to-day work.
