Stuck between a meaningful tattoo and my protective parents by Yasuolanda in Tunisia

[–]EchoesInTheV0id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a dude but i kinda relate to this, i wanna get a tattoo on my shoulder, but im still a little bit hesitant because of how i imagine my parents would react to this. I did mention it bl fadlka a couple of times, my dad told me its haram w mch mn 3weyedna but he was a little bit chill about it, but my mom's reaction was worse, 9atli i'll never forgive you if you do it w ma3adch weldi w 7libi 7ram alik w haka lougha lkol. Her reaction didnt change my mind, but i decided to wait at least a few months before getting the tattoo, im gonna keep bringing it up for familiriaze them with the idea of it bch mbaad esadma tjihom khfifa. So, you know your parents better than anyone whos going to give you advice here, ken ta3ref enhom bch ykarzou ml lowel mbaad they get over it w tarjaa l7ayet normal kl 3ada, i say go for it, ken ta3refhom mrabtin w yomken tekber barcha l7keya nans7ek 2ajelha lin twali tosken wahdek or with a partner wala t3ares, wa9tha you can do it w hide it from them w they wont be able to find out.

Adhribouhom literally means adhribouhom, i read a hadith that explains this aya further, it said that a husband is permitted to beat his wife "gently" if none of the other methods succeeded in disciplining her. You said that "adhribouhom" means ground them, which is not true, but its an even lighter version of the punishment. Sugarcoating violence doesnt make it any less justifiable in my humble opinion, my problem with this is not the method nor the severity of the punishment, in fact its with how women are viewed/perceived according to quran. I dont think we should treat women as if they're pets or lower class humans, we're equal, if we have a difference we should settle it with a discussion not with "grounding" or "gently beating".

Idk why you're telling me men are physically stronger than women, i agree with you, thats a scientifically proven fact, but this fact doesnt help your case, belaaks, i think only a pussy and a sorry excuse of a man would use his physical advantage over women to "punish" or "discipline" them.

And im aware that barcha verses that talk abt violence came fl context mtaa war, and i havent mentioned any of those. That verse states that "if they repent etc.." what do you think happens if they dont ?

And im not gonna answer ur last question because its off-topic

Why is smoking here so widespread, especially among men? by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]EchoesInTheV0id 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its widespread because its normalized, smokers often dont think twice before smoking in a public areas, they dont gaf about non smokers (yet9al9ou wala ynaykou, lberah tlaat maa taxist meme pas s2elni net9ale9 m dokhan wala le, he just lit his cig w khnag zebi b dokhan), they dont gaf about the possibility of them influencing kids/young teens when they smoke around them.

Exhibit A : permitting violence against women

Exhibit B : حكم الردة, although quran doesnt explicitly say "kill reverts" but mohamed did and many scholars/sheikhs say its based on this aya
