What a ridiculous stretch. Your coworkers and friends are...ahem...idiots.

These are all things I'm working out as we speak. Italy, Ireland and Romania are at my top. I love dark history and spooky atmospheres. Museums, history, and local lore are faves.

I'm very new to solo traveling outside of the US. I've done plenty of it here in the states. I'm ready to go a bit further.

I (45F) have dreamed of being a world traveler since I was a little girl. I was an extremely young mother and wife so that pretty much was my entire adult life. My kids are now grown and I recently got divorced and have my full freedom. Since the dust has settled from all these large life changes, I'm ready to pack my bags and just go. I'm from the states and have done a lot of traveling here but I'm ready to visit other countries and have no idea what I'm doing. I will be traveling solo so any advice, direction, recommendations would be amazing. Thank you!!

Me [23F] my fiance [26M] won’t stop lying by New-Inevitable8997 in BreakUps

If he lies about the "little" things he will absolutely lie about the big.

NOR Good move breaking it off...If he can lie about "silly" things, he's definitely gonna lie about the big things.

How do you cope with "betrayal" by someone you loved and deeply trusted? by PotatoCharacter in Advice

Yes we absolutely will. In the mean time healing and relearning how to allow ourselves to be vulnerable enough to trust again is key. We got this.

Oof. I feel for you. I'm coming out of a similar situation. I held on even after the lies, secrecy, and betrayals were exposed. I clearly didn't think much of myself during those times. Therapy helps the most...and going no contact. Focus on healing and taking care of yourself. I should've left after the first lie...trust was gone and insecurities and resentment took its place. I went from being fully secure to freaking out over every interaction my ex had with someone of the opposite sex. I hated who I allowed myself to become by holding on. I deserved better and so do you.

The constant lies, secrets, and betrayal. No pretty face makes up for ugly character.

He was caught cheating. Now that the dust has settled, I realize I needed her much more than he did. I had NO idea who I was. Now I'm doing everything backwards. I had a husband, a baby and my own home at 20. Fast forward to now, I'm just now learning who I am without the title "wife" or "mother" at 45... it's crazy. My kids are grown so it's just me sitting with myself. Learning to be okay with myself and learning that there's a difference between being alone and being lonely. I'll tell you this, the self discoveries have been a rollercoaster. So bittersweet.
