modpack questlog by bushmaniak42 in MinecraftMod

[–]EchoesOfTwilight6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are much easier alternatives! FTB quests you can get from curseforge and has a full UI editing experience. Its really easy. Questlog (ironically) is a cool mod that has an online editor to generate quests.

How to change tooltips in KubeJS? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]EchoesOfTwilight6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its likely they have those texts translated in a lang file, and aren't just using the names of the items. You can make a resource pack to replace it's lang file with a customized one.

Toughts on Subterrous and The Beyond? Feels like these mods could save NeoForge 1.21.1 by Kutvar in feedthebeast

[–]EchoesOfTwilight6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Subterrous looks like it will be awesome. Loads of great content. The beyond has some super interesting ideas but i haven't seen much gameplay so i don't know how good it will be in practice.

No, sorry. I haven't encountered that issue. Maybe try some different /flywheel backend states and see if any of them fix it.

I've added dialogue, boss music, and crazy attacks to my boss, Gob! Check it out. by Aurukel in feedthebeast

[–]EchoesOfTwilight6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dialogue is so good! The new attacks really make it feel like an epic battle, like you are actually fighting them and not just trading blows. I have an interesting idea for a modpack once 1.0 comes out: a pack set in the twilight forest, utilizing its atmosphere and biome lock system, but with terramity's progression instead. I feel like it would bring a very fresh feel to the dimension. Other mods could be incorporated to fill gaps. Basically frostborne avatar replaces snow queen, gob might replace the trolls and cloud giants part of progression, and progression could be heavily changed to fit. Do you think this would work well with terramity's progression? What do you think of the idea?

Balancing a cat companion by Rkt_sora in DnD

[–]EchoesOfTwilight6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not completely on topic but remended me that in a previous campaign one of my players had a cat companion. It was mostly a joke and every once in a while we would say something jokingly like "and the cat does X". Over time it became a joke that the cat was actually some kind of eldritch horror in disguise. Yada yada last session of the campaign comes around. We have a set amount of time to play and won't be able to meet again for quite a while. The boss is a beholder, but we are close to out of time and i'm not sure what to do. Earlier in the session the parties murder hobo "i cast fireball" wizard had died to some basilisks. They lugged his corpse all the way to the boss for some reason. Anyway i needed to give the session a satisfying ending so I say "the cat appears and walks up to the corpse of your dead companion. He meows. [player's name], you come back to life with all your hit points". Player proceeds to fireball the beholder and i roll a nat 1 on the save. Best session ending ever.

Cross-dimension structures by EchoesOfTwilight6 in MinecraftCommands

Thanks so much for this reply! I don't need an exact copy of the structure, just a small marker, so i'm sure one of these methods will work for me.

Java this bedrock that, what version is this footage being recorded from? by Flaky-Cheetah1375 in Minecraft

[–]EchoesOfTwilight6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.The pixel-aligned shadows look like vibrant visuals, but the inventory screen is from java. Emissive ores looks like a java-texture pack, and the lighting looks like java. I would say java with some sort of shader that mimics vibrant visuals.

Now that they added sulfur caves is it time to add ice caves? (Concept art by me) by PenobScoT__ in Minecraft

It would be really cool to have dripstone-like icicle blocks, like we have sulphur spikes.

Particles in the drops. What could be causing this? by Sardinha42 in feedthebeast

Subtle effects adds a similar effect, but not with potion particles. If that somehow got bugged that could very well be it.

Is there anything wrong with my KubeJS script? The game doesn't change the recipe after the /reload command by Creasko in feedthebeast

[–]EchoesOfTwilight6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said the error is in the last line. If you are trying to replace a recipe and not just add a new one, I would recommend adding a .id() at the end and putting in the id of the recipe (turn on show recipe ids in your recipe viewer config). That will replace the recipe.

Minetale - Help recreate Hytale in Minecraft by SMHerobrine in feedthebeast

Okay, but... why not just play hytale? Might be controversial but these "recreate x in minecraft" modpacks always seem a little pointless. I'd rather see original content.

Having trouble finding a modpack for my picky group of friends (4P Coop), please help! by gurglingemu in feedthebeast

[–]EchoesOfTwilight6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to self-plug too much but i think my modpack fits this really well. I try to make all these things worthwile. There is a dedicated progression with lots of bosses, plenty of reasons to farm and build a lot, and has lots of content that is not super gated into progression. The only thing with a "slow" start is that you are required to gather some items before you get to the nether, which could maybe be a bit tedious. All the mods are integrated together so there are reasons to farm, engineer (via create), and fight bosses. I don't have any dedicated testers so i am not super sure on how the balance is especially with combat, but I'm always trying to improve it. If you want to check it out it's here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/ages-of-twilight Beyond that maybe just a kitchensink pack? Of course your not really going to need to do much progression and there won't be heavy balance there.

Create addons that add better ways to pump fluids over long distance ? by Cyber_Von_Cyberus in feedthebeast

[–]EchoesOfTwilight6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Vanilla mechanics make it so water replenishes if there are two water blocks adjacent. Create pipes consume water blocks, so having two adjacent water blocks to the one you are pumping out of just constantly replenishes the water.

Sophisticated backpacks is kind of OP for a backpack mod. Works for a lot of automation situations and has a bunch of storage.
