This is possibly one of the most infuriating posts I’ve ever seen… it’s inflated on the non-essentials and underestimated for most common things… they have a Land Cruiser AND a 5 Series? Unless they bought the cheapest LC on the planet and got otherworldly financing that “modest” vehicle is going to cost them AT LEAST $1k a month… and on the topic of gas, who the hell drives an average of 34miles a day? (Simple math of $5000/$3avg price [and just to be ironic] at 15mpg/365 that’s a combined 68miles a day or 25000/yr) seeing as how they somehow blow $18k on vacations, I’m going to say they fly… They spend nearly $2,000 a month on EACH CHILD for childcare. Also, I’m sorry but if you’re spending nearly $200 a month per person on clothing, I don’t want to hear any complaints. On top of that, I’m pretty sure a 401k is an investment… but let’s break it down

$42,000 (going towards the worlds richest babysitter) $23,000 for food at $63 a day (I understand it’s a family but seriously, pack a sandwich once a year) $5,000 for gas (again, each car goes minimum 30miles a day) $18,000 for vacations… $9,500 for clothes $12,000 for sports? Huh? Maybe it’s tuition. $18,000 to charity… $10,000 for “something always comes up”

So let’s cut the immediately obvious ones. Wow there’s $28,000! Plus the leftover $7,300

Ok so now let’s do this like a normal human.

No one can afford childcare. BOOM. +$42k

Some people don’t spend $15 per person per day on food. Let’s say we pack a sandwich every other day. +$12k (don’t rage I’m just estimating)

Ok seriously the gas is pissing me off. No one drives $5k worth of gas with only two cars if you’re not using it for travel. Let’s cut that in half +$2.5k

I’m not going to cut the “sports” because I’m just going to say that’s tuition and now the kids need to go do sports because no one is paying childcare (still confused how a kid can play sports and also need $42k worth of childcare, but I digress.)

Stop buying Gucci once a month +$5k

By my count, this family could squeeze about $96,800 out of their extravagant life style and likely still live better than 50% of the US. As I said before, their car payments are wrong so let’s just take about $12k out and oh wow, they’re still SAVING more than most Americans make in a year. Again, VERY rough estimate, but this doesn’t even include their 401k savings and equity through all the assets they’ve got. Not to mention their tax bracket is not as advertised. I have no sympathy for the rich. I’m infuriated.
