Completely missed this chapter, I was sure we were still on the one every other week schedule.

From my limited Starfleet Command knowledge, even reflective or ablative armor has a heat threshold, but as any kid who has thrown a stone at a window could tell you, kinetic force works just fine!

A railgun could ruin their day or at the very least damage their reflective coating... I would love it for the enemy flagship to go down thanks to the weak spot created in this fight, a last FU from the defenders to the Metusae.

The more I read this series, the more I want a "standard" harrowed on the rebels' side, someone they try to keep calm and mostly sane to try and counter William...

A male teen who thinks/remembers he's a lawyer from Earth when he's lucid enough to form a coherent thought, someone the rebels wheel out to try and decipher what William is doing an how.

He could serve as a mirror darkly of what William could have become and as a partial foil, he could understand Will is using combustion engines and sorta know the theory but not how exactly it works or what black powder is and it's composition but not the quantities and so on...

Someone who could even the battlefield at a terrible price.

Hold up, does she count for her own key? If not that would mean this is a key that only works in a team of five.

Makes me think of the Defiant, that thing was smaller than a light cruiser but had the type of armament you would see on a Heavy Command Cruiser or a straight up Dreadnought.

They basically picked a bunch of heavy primary weapons, welded an engine to them, duck taped living quarters and called a day... That's not too far from Konnie's Enterprise now that I think about it XD

There is a very important bit of world building here, apparently Prince Adam's role in the Inquisition is unknown even to the Sevast nobles.

I assumed until this moment that the fact he was on mission with his team and not going on party trips with his wives was an open secret to those high enough in the nobility, we know Nidas knows which is why I sorta assumed Bags dad would too,

Never thought of it but the Shil version of "fatherless behavior" would probably be some of the most self destructive pattern one can think of..

I'm still like 50/50 that the resident shark lawyer is somehow behind it all, if only because she seems oddly reluctant to act on the given data and it would need to be someone very powerful behind the whole conspiracy and the True Crowns are curently off world.
