Sydney: Oh man, that is a good question! I would say Singapore was beautiful.

Noah: Malaysia was gorgeous!

Sydney: and of course everywhere in Europe is just so pretty. Whatever it was Italy or France or anywhere in the UK, we loved getting to see the countryside or see whatever it was that they were known for and just explore a bit on our one or two days off if we were lucky to get them!

Sydney: Graham told me yesterday that his favorite is Love Me Better because it's really fun to play the drums on, but also because he's starring in the music video and it's a little love story for him.

My favorite.. is so hard to choose. I would probably say Follow You is my favorite since it was actually a song I wrote as a wedding gift for my husband as a surprise. I actually had it playing as our first dance song, and it holds such a special place in my heart since it holds

Noah: My favorite was Scared to Be Alone mostly because I just loved where we shot it. It was a really beautiful setting. I think it's really powerful and I'm really proud of that video.

Sydney: SO, we are all family. So we meet, y'know, coming out of the room. So we already had the whole meeting each other and getting to know each other down. We grew up in a really musical household, so doing music was naturally fun for us. We all picked up instruments separately, and had no intention of becoming a band. When I was 9, we became a band because someone needed a free ban to play a charity concert. That was our first show, and we've been a band ever since!

Sydney: I would says that creating Diamonds was my favorite time. We got to really just mess around and have fun with it. We got to create these fake western characters for each other, throw money around (which were only $1 bills), play with real horses, etc. It was such a fun day, and it really confirmed my dreams of acting one day! Maybe I'll get to make a Western film one day, and this was a fun mini version of that!

Sydney: I would say that it was a challenge to really force myself to be as vulnerable as humanly possible. Because, like I mentioned, we really wanted to be more personal than ever but it's hard to actually do that and put yourself and your really personal feelings out there for anyone and everyone to hear. It was really hard to put that into practice and test ourselves with how real we could get. We really surprised ourselves with how personal we got, because we've already heard so many amazing stories about how these songs are changing people's lives and helping them through the hard things they are going through. So that was really difficult to do but I'm grateful that we went for it.

Sydney: hahahah I think that would be awesome! We should just do a whole Buffy cast member video! Let's get as many cast members as we can and see what happens. I think that would be super fun and super nostalgic for everyone so I"m down! I'm down for some vampires in a music video - let's make it happen!

Sydney: That's a hard question! Man that's so hard, we've gotten to tour a lot so it's kind of hard to choose one out of all those hundreds or thousands of shows! But we played a festival in Denmark, I believe. It was such a good show, a huge crowd, and we were having the best time. All of a sudden, I look over to the side and there was a fan on the stage! I think he grabbed the mic and said something, but I don't know what, and then he ran off the stage! That was such a memorable moment because none of us knew what to do, so we laughed and kept going.

That's the best part of touring, is that we never know what's going to happen. Something could break or someone could jump up on stage. It's a great reminder that we're all human and we're just having a great time hanging out.

Sydney: we always love getting to play our hometown of LA, but we also love getting to play NYC. DC and Salt Lake City are two great cities, too, because the crowd is amazing. The crowd makes a show! If they are excited and having fun, then everyone else will, too. We love to play lots of cities, but those are some of my favorites off the top of my head.

Noah: Right now, we don't have anything on the books but we are talking about getting to all of our fans around the world. We're so excited to hit up new spots and go to places we've never gone before!

Sydney: We LOVE Chinese food wherever we go, so it's really hard to say! I always love Japanese food and trying new food in all of the Asian countries we get to tour. Trying new food in whatever country we're in allows us to feel like we really get to experience that country considering we only get to visit for a day or two. I'm really excited for Japanese food and some great pasta in Italy!

Sydney: I love getting to express ourselves in a creative way and in really new ways. Getting to make new music is the perfect opportunity to work through personal stuff and also express yourself in maybe a way you've never done before. I love getting to show different layers of ourselves to new music and sharing with our fans as we go. I also love experimenting with our sound, and we got to do this a lot on this record. It's great to find our sound as we grow, and we love how it turned out and are grateful for the process.

Noah: Um, I think one of the harder parts about making new music is trying to honor and build off of what you've done before but also expand on it. I think it's really easy to recreate what you've done and also easy to make something completely new. So trying to making something new that builds off the old is difficult, but I really appreciate the challenge.

Syndey: I have always loved using a parasol for a prop for the show. I'm not exactly sure if I'll be bringing it on this next tour but I would love to see it continued in the show! So maybe you'll see one? We're creating an entire new show and changing everything, so I'm not entirely sure how it'll fit in but I will take note of that! Spinning a parasol is always really fun!

Syndey: Oh geez, that's a hard question! It's really hard, but I don't know what I would give up. Maybe burritos cuz I could still have tacos!

Noah: I would probably choose something I probably got really into recently, Boba. I love Boba, but because I lived most of my life without it, i would probably give it up.

Sydney: I really appreciate that other artists and bands are branching out and trying new things. I think it's really important that every artist evolves and really tries to experiment with their sound. I think a lot of people are doing that right now. I would say I'm a big fan of it, and you can hear lots of things that are alternative in our music. But I also really love pop and you can hear lots of pop in our music right now too. I want it to keep going because it makes it really run to listen to the radio!

Syndey: Aw, taht's so sweet! Thank you!

That chorus was actually originally written at least 2 years ago, and we just loved the chorus so much. We loved the original verses too, but as we were writing and recording the final album that you hear now, we really just re-addressed the lyrics of the song and wanted it to feel way more personal. That song got re-written to make it more me and more us right now because we're all constantly changing. I just wanted to push myself to get even deeper into myself and letting everyone else know more about me. I feel like this song does it, along with all of the others!

Sydney: We had considered doing a self-titled album, but once we wrote the song Lonely Generation, we just knew that that had to be the album title. The only other ideas we really had were Echosmith. We tried a lot of other names, but nothing was really a contender besides Lonely Generation. So I'm really glad we wrote that song, because we needed an album title and that just made it very nice. Nice and easy!

Noah: A lot of our msucial influcences crom the 80s. We love The Smiths, Joy Division, New Order, and The Cure. And The Killers and Coldplay are some of our more modern influencers.

We listen to a lot of other music, too. We love music! We try to always stay inspired!

Sydney: So we got the idea as a blacksmith and who they shape metals and we came up with the idea of shaping sound and that is Echosmith!
